Production Operative responsibilities:
* Working on a production line, loading & unloading trays from conveyor belts
* Palletising trays ready for dispatch
* Organising recycling
* Inspecting & quality control of items

* Working at high speeds and meeting company targets (KPI's)

Main Purpose:
To perform the duties relating to Metal Finishing as and when designated by the Production Manager/Supervisor to include -

The Gi Group are currently looking for warehouse operators to join our client, a well-known distribution company in Livingston FOR NIGHT SHIFT ONLY.

This is temporary, on-going work. If you are looking for a role that has a great, friendly working environment that includes working at a fast pace to meet targets and deadlines, this may be the job for you. Due to start time and site location own transport is essential.

Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour

Shift Patterns available:
Monday to Friday 03:00 to 11:00 (1 hour break) = 35 hours per week

Responsibilities:
* Unloading containers from incoming vehicles
* Sort parcels to the correct dispatch location
* Loading onto outgoing transport
* Scanning and identification of parcel destination by code number or postcode
* Placing mail into the correct wheeled container for dispatch

Important information:
The operations take place in a loud, busy factory-style environment where you will be standing for long periods of time, lifting items up to 11KG in weight and pushing wheeled containers weighing up to 250kg. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential and you will be required to apply for a DBS check. Candidates also must be able to provide 2 years referencing all gaps in employment must be covered.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Gi Group and work at one of our sites as a Production Operative at well-known tray washing facility, based at Hams Hall Distribution Park, Birmingham, West Midlands, B46.

Production Operative responsibilities:

• Working on a production line clearing down plastics trays, and putting them in the industrial dishwasher
• Working towards targets set
• High attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
• Work with the team to ensure the production line runs smoothly
• Adhere to company health and safety standards.

Production Operative required skills:

• Enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual
• Good attitude to work and learn new skills

• You will have at least 6 months previous experience as a Production operative
• This role will require standing for long periods of time and the factory is wet environment

Production Operative Pay:

• £11.75ph - Days
• £13.75ph - Nights

Production Operative Shift:

• 4 on 4 off shift pattern, either days or nights
• Days - 6am - 6pm
• Nights 6pm - 6am

*You must be able to follow the weekly shift pattern, we are not currently recruiting for any other hours*
