This position is responsible for directing and training supervisors in all facets including but not limited to production paperwork yields time and attendance discipline motivation turnover absenteeism safety problem solving etc. Accountable for areas of performance safety quality workers compensation turnover bid movement Team Member morale and other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent with bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 1 plus years experience in a supervisory role. Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus; HACCP certification a plus understanding of basic HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification; knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders stairs steps etc. able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 28 - 45 degrees.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management.

Special Skills: Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects.

Supervisory: Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility; includes managing all production supervisors department production schedules product rotation CCP verification schedules and overseeing safety committee; includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop improve deficient areas.

Travel: Some travel required as needed.

Job Description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; maintain non- union program; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation security and food safety; manage evaluate and train production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred.

Experience: 5 plus years of related industry; 5 plus years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility pork or beef preferred ; and knowledge of OSHA USDA and HAACP regulations.

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.

SUMMARY: This position may be required to perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to, operation of wastewater analysis laboratory, operation and maintenance of wastewater collection system, operation and maintenance of wastewater pre-treatment system, operation and maintenance of wastewater full treatment system or operation and maintenance of any other type of water or wastewater treatment system. Activities may include, but are not limited to: collecting samples for analysis in accordance with EPA, state and/or health departments regulations, performing a variety of chemical analysis (both in and out of a laboratory setting), making system adjustments based on interpretation of results from chemical analysis, making educated decisions on maintaining regulatory compliance, performing mathematical calculations utilizing basic algebraic formulas and a calculator, completing computerized reports, compiling information and correctly completing monthly reports as required by permits, state authority, EPA or corporate management, utilization of basic organizational skills, basic mechanical skills, basic electrical wiring skills, proper communication of current operational status to upper management, maintaining operations logs, performing minor to major maintenance on equipment, operation of a spotter tuck and/or a fork lift; grounds keeping, painting, general house- keeping; other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1 + years Wastewater experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel
Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills are
critical
Certification: Must successfully complete a storm water training program
selected by site management within thirty days and must also
successfully complete "Industrial Waste Treatment, Volume I" and
"Industrial Waste Treatment, Volume II" correspondence courses through
California State University Sacramento within twelve months, and must
obtain lowest grade certification program within twelve months or in
accordance with State regulations.
Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, and will be
required to obtain higher levels of certification and training up to
Level A at this facility; must meet and maintain the minimum
qualification levels as required by state regulations.
Physical Requirements: Physical lifting of heavy objects (50-75 pounds),
climbing and/or descending stairs or ladders working in unsanitary
conditions, working with hazardous chemicals.

Travel: 1 to 2 trips per year
