Identify, analyse and document the project requirementsManage a number of concurrent work streams, as identified assigned by group members. Working across different disciplines and care groups, ensuring effective and regular communication at all levels with all interested parties.Co-ordinate and manage internal and external parties to ensure their effective involvement in change management. Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout, such that each work stream deliverable is fit for purpose and meets its documented requirement. Define project risk parameters and escalate to group members where necessary, instigating contingency plans where appropriate. Create, direct and motivate representative project teams, schedule and monitor their work giving support where necessary. Identify, in conjunction with the working group, the benefits to be realised by meeting the project requirements, and the key success factors to be used to measure the project. Present project aims and objectives in a way that engenders enthusiasm and commitment and continue this with regular updates as defined by the programme boardWork with appropriate operational teams to ensure a smooth handover of the project.Develop and implement procedures and guidelines supporting the policies and strategies, around new services and changes to existing services working closely with service managersDevelop and present business case(s) and where required, financial project summaries to programme board and other relevant groupsManage all changes in project scope to ensure that the project remains deliverable within the estimated parameters using recognised tools to monitor deviation and exceptionUndertake and document post implementation reviews of projects to ensure that process improvement can benefit from the experiences of each project deliveryArrange, chair /participate in and document structured project meetingsComplete all mandatory departmental and national documentation within specified timescalesLead in the measurement of benefits realisation once the project has been satisfactorily implemented.Manage any project budget reporting into programme boardAssist services in establishing any new procurement or supplies; using national contract frameworks where appropriateDevelop, monitor and measure suppliers to ensure the contracted products/services are developed and delivered as planned alongside managers for ongoing service deliveryGeneralSupport staff, who might be working in very stressful circumstances, in an efficient and empathetic way, in the use of new working practices To support the Care Groups to embed change as a result of the programme. To support the Care Groups in facilitating service changes in outpatients, to help inform change. To co-ordinate Headland Unit space to optimise patient throughput. To use project management skills to implement change. To establish and maintain strong and effective communication links across the whole health community to enable delivery of the programme. To utilise analytical, persuasive and negotiation skills in order to support the change and enable resolution of complex operational issues relating to planned care. To ensure all changes made are in line with the key aims of the programme and health community strategy, adapting where necessary.
