We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst to be part of Yodel's Commercial and Network Planning team based in the Northwest. The key function of this role is to run our weekly forecasting process, working with Sales Account Managers to collect and analyse client forecasts and focus on forecast optimisation to drive accuracy
What you'll be doing
As a Business Analyst within the Commercial and Network Planning team, you will be the key support in providing a high-quality business analysis and reporting service to assist in understanding financial performance and key trends. This will encompass periodic management reporting, planning, and forecasting, budgeting, commercial reviews, and ad-hoc analysis.
You will work with Sales Account Managers to gather intelligence and forecasts from our clients focusing on our top volume clients. You will also support and challenge across the business to improve client volume forecasting. In addition to this, you will use our systems and process to produce the client volume forecast which feeds into business and network planning.
As a Business Analyst you will present your numbers back to the Sort & Operations team, and a range of stakeholders across the business. The intelligence and depth of understanding you gain from working with Client Managers will put you in a strong position to have a significant impact on the department and wider business
What you need to show us
- Great attention to detail is essential as well as strong analytical skills as this will help drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy
- Confident communicator as you will be business partnering with the Commercial team
- Experience of working across different functions in the business
- Must be able to manage own time/workload and be a self-starter
- A good blend of people skills
- A level preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL is required
- Experience with Python would be advantageous
- Resilient and tenacious
- Previous experience analysing and forecasting
- Proactive and can challenge stakeholders when necessary
