The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

• Meets with managers and executives within the Service to define the overall goals and objectives of the project.
• Prepares action plans and schedules for various phases of project accomplishment, both short and long-range; ensures that plans are consistent with Service goals, schedules, and policies.
• Prepares recommendation for resource requirements to accomplish the project; negotiates with managers of various components of the Service to obtain needed resources and support.
• Establishes a system to review, control, and report on project status.
• Plans, coordinates, and establishes operating methods and procedures for accomplishment of project mission; as needed, directs the development and accomplishment of employee training relating to the project.

• Develop policy and procedures to support organization acquisition efforts and/or contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with terms and conditions by evaluating contractor performance during the contract lifecycle.
• Modify contracts by using market research.
• Advise contracting personnel on the acquisition/procurement process.

Works in the Directorate of Plans & Force Management, reporting to the Strategy & Innovation Division Chief. Serves as project manager responsible for the management of various project types to include implementing business systems, organizational transformation initiatives, and business transformation for Nonappropriated Fund activities. Project management responsibilities include: initiation. planning, direction, coordination, implementation. execution, monitoring. controlling. and closing the project - on time, within budget and scope. Ensures alignment with organizational strategy. commitments and goals. Assists in defining the project scope, requirements and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, when applicable. Works directly with project owners and/or leads to ensure on time deliverables that fall within the applicable scope and budget. Develops and maintains comprehensive project plan to share with stakeholders and used to oversee all aspects of projects in order to monitor nod track progress. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress through completion. Accomplishes annual budget reviews, requests additional funds (when necessary), and completes receiving of invoices as deliverables are met by contractors. Manages changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate techniques. Coordinates with AFNAFPO for modifications of Statements of Work and/or contracts. if applicable. Closely coordinates and controls project change requests with functional users. Effectively communicates project progress to team members, sponsors and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Manages the relationship with and between all stakeholders. Accountable and responsible for precisely communicating risks, issues, or opportunities that cannot be resolved or acted upon at a project level. Prepares reports and briefings for upper management regarding status of project and escalates issues as needed. Interacts, collaborates and coordinates with the project sponsor. project team. other departments. and third parties/vendors during execution to ensure adherence to project goals and alignment with business needs during each phase of the project. A wide degree of creativity and autonomy is expected. Uses and continually develops leadership skills via online or in residence courses. Attends conferences and training as required to maintain professional proficiency. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Job Summary

The Project Manager ensures that Flowserve meets our commitments on complex aftermarket orders related to repairs, upgrades, hydraulic rerates, and maintenance of rotating pumps and equipment for our customers in industries such as oil, chemical, pharmaceutical, municipal water/wastewater, and power. These complex projects involve technical challenges, substantial risk, and multiple service centers, and they may cross state and international boundaries. The position reports to the Services & Solutions Manager of Project Management, North America and the position is located in Rancho Dominguez, CA facility.

Responsibilities

• Leads kickoff meetings and phase gate meetings to coalesce strategies into actions. Identifies stakeholders and analyzes their expectations. 

• Proficient at contract review documentation and make sure it reflects what has been negotiated and ensure successful execution throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assists the project team to develop the scope of supply, to translate work breakdown structure into an activity-based schedule and to identify the critical path.  Helps the team to prepare key project management documents.

• Communicates project specifications, terms and conditions to key suppliers.

• Leads project review meetings and collaborates with all disciplines during the project, including engineering, operations, and sales, to ensure that Flowserve delivers on-time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Maintain a positive customer experience while tracking progress towards budget objectives. Monitors our on-time invoice submissions and cash collections.

• Develops communication plans.  Gathers and integrates reports, data, and information to communicate regular, accurate status and forecasts to all stakeholders, including customers.  Presents project progress to management on a routine basis.

• Identifies and manages risks by ensuring contingency plans are established for all key milestones and triggered if necessary.  Ensures that contract changes are documented, approved, and integrated into the project plans. 

• Captures lessons learned as they occur, then documents and shares them with stakeholders.

• 20% overnight travel may be occasionally required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. An equivalent of education and experience may be considered.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in rotating or fixed equipment and/or equipment packages will be required.

• 2+ years of experience in project management or related order fulfillment role within a manufacturing environment is required. 

• Deep understanding of project management concepts, with a high proficiency in project management tools and software.

• Deep understanding of the Root Cause Analysis, warranty process and natural drive towards quality.

• Strong understanding of how documents, materials, parts flow through the manufacturing environment.

• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences at the site level. Capacity to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers at multiple levels of the organization.

Summary of Role:

This role will be responsible for leading design and build in SAP Supply chain planning areas to support GlobalFoundries business transformation and growth objectives. Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Leading scoping, designing, prototyping, and implementing of globally scalable SAP planning solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering/computer science

• More than 10 years’ experience as a solution architect in SAP planning specializing in MRP in a hi-tech manufacturing industry.

• At least 5-6 full life-cycle SAP implementations in an MNC including all phases (blueprint, configuration, training, cut-over and post go-live support).

• 10 years of SAP functional configuration experience in one or more SAP modules MRP, PP on the SAP S/4 HANA.

• Deep functional knowledge of Planning and Supply Chain business processes across the areas of Materials management, MRP and Manufacturing

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, ability to engage and work in a global team across multiple time zones.

• Flexible to work across global time zones with onshore and offshore internal and partner teams.

• Implementation experience in the Hi-Tech / Semiconductor Inventory would be an advantage.

Job Title: Wave Planner Administrator

Reports to:  DC Sr. Site Manager

Location:  Mooresville

The Role

As a Wave Planner, you release orders to the Work Management System (WMS), on an hourly basis. The Wave Planner also, ensures departments have consistent orders to fulfill the production day. The Wave Planner drops orders in a strategic way to ensure that service level is met. Sends daily orders and communicates with other departments. Monitors order progress via the High Jump software. May interact with customer service department to plan and effectively execute production, shipping, compliance account structure, and meet ship windows.  

The Wave Planner is also cross trained in other departments to assist and support in a as needed basis. This includes, but not limited to administration duties for the Distribution Center. Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, auditors, and others.  Always represent the company in a positive and supportive manner.

Your Impact 

• Coordinate and manage daily outbound waves using the WMS Highjump to manage, prioritize, create and release customer order, fulfillment work in consistency to Vendor Compliance routing guides & proper ship methods.
• Coordinate with Distribution management and Customer Service department to resolve customer order issues; process special request, etc.
• Communicate with Warehouse department personnel to investigate inventory allocation issues that arise during the process of creating and releasing waves.
• Develop strategies with Shipping Supervisor to create and release order fulfillment work based on start ship date, cancel date and prioritized orders
• Investigate “aging” waves and cartons and resolve accordingly through HighJump
• Support and assist the distribution center with administration duties.
