• Serves as an Information Technology Project Manager in Human Resources Applications, DLA Information Operations (J6).

• The incumbent functions as a senior systems analyst of a project/program support team and performs complex information technology (IT) systems assignments.
• Applies analytical processes to the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a variety of complex, critical software development...

About the role:

In this role, you support a broad team of staff responsible for the maintenance, repair and incident response of critical services and systems covering Electrical, Mechanical and Fire. This Service Technicians are the first to respond to alerts and alarms, assign the severity, prioritise the rectification and determine whether escalation is required to third party contractors.

You will proactively perform inspections to ensure all critical infrastructure is operating as designed and identify any possible risk to the infrastructure and buildings. The team assists with the monitoring of all contractors conducting critical work and ensures strict adherence to processes and procedures.

Other responsibilities include:

• Promptly responding to service requests and emergency faults.
• Conduct initial fault finding, determine causes, and implement remedies.
• Communicate repair timelines with internal teams for coordinated client communications.
• Perform critical switching to prevent disruptions in case of equipment failure.
• Ensure timely completion of planned maintenance, daily site reviews, and adherence to safety policies.

About You: 

We are looking for a passionate person who has a trade or tertiary qualification in relevant fields (Electrical, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Fire, Telecommunications).

• Proven experience/ exposure in trade or critical facilities.
• Prior experience in critical infrastructure environments with adherence to strict procedures.
• Experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Exposure to data centre equipment, including CRAC units, UPS, generators, and fire systems.
• Demonstrated skills in managing critical infrastructure, utilizing electronic monitoring systems, fault-finding, and contributing to process improvements.

About the role

The Lab Pack Project Manager’s main function is to administer and monitor all aspects of projects from price quotation and bidding through to job completion.

Project Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred
• Previous Lab Packing Experience Required
• 5 - 7 Years experience in lab packing operations preferred
• 2-4 years supervisory experience required
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• The project manager ensures that each project is completed in a timely manner on schedule, within budget, and meets all technical and financial standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and customer expectations.
• Coordinating all contract activities from the project award stage to completion of the elevator and escalator new installation and provide a progress review of projects to ensure that contract documents are consistent with the required scope of the project
• Communicate directly with multiple representatives of the general contractors, owners, building managers, architects and designers, also State and Local authorities and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipment
• Work closely with the internal sales staff, new equipment superintendents and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both the financial and customer perspectives
• Required to work full time on job sites
• Experienced in contract writing and administration and will perform customary construction process duties that include managing billing, consultant and contractors’ payments, processing RFIs and optimizing change order opportunities, as well as maximizing project cash coverage.

Experience/Qualifications:

• 2+ years of elevator experience or related construction project management experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of the principals of cost estimating, scheduling and contract administration.
• Ability to accurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost of such change.
• Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates.
• Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings.
• Must possess proficient oral and written communication and presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively with wide variety of people with diverse background of all levels and disciplines.
• Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others in contact with the job.
