We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Process Administrator Experienced within the logistics industry having knowledge and experience of Transport Management Systems within the field of Customer Service / Operations / Finance / Customs, to join our System and Process continuous improvement team.

YOUR ROLE

The Business Process Administrator role is a recently formed role and is key to ensuring high quality, business process management and process efficiency, across road logistics in the U.K. The Business Process Administrator will join a team responsible for defining our current business processes supporting implementation of standardisation, continuous improvement and best practice Change Management by use of generally accepted formal and rigorous procedures and confirming our operation is delivering those working processes to the highest quality possible within our working operation. As a Business Process Administrator you will be working closely with the department managers and supervisors to agree and define key components of the documented working instruction, in terms of content, to deliver the desired process outcome, in line with our customer promise of quality, service and delivery. You will be a Key pillar in the identification, creation and availability of reliable and repeatable key Quality deliverables throughout varied KN systems & processes.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand KN working processes to enable effective process mapping and documentation of processes to enable and facilitate understanding;
• Produce documented working instructions using KN Standards for all customers;
• Support maintenance of above KN standard documentation within KN Docs;
• Working closely with our process engineering community you will be sharing the responsibility to develop your knowledge and experience around continuous improvement tools and techniques to enable personal, system and operator development, to improve outcomes and efficiency within all aspects of our road logistics operations;
• Working closely with our department leaders, managers and supervision to agree the documented processes and working instructions are fit for purpose and in a position to handover to the operational community, to allow those communities to become self-auditing and self-sufficient in the management and revision of those documents;
• Create and Support analytical investigations, based on the previously documented processes and working instructions, to identify opportunities to improve through changes of process flow and automation opportunities;
• To identify and escalate any non-conformances identified and support the generation of solutions/Improvement IT specifications to resolve non-conformances and facilitate continuous improvements as required, through structured problem identification and solving processes;

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Experienced within the logistics industry having knowledge and experience of Transport Management Systems within the field of Customer Service / Operations / Finance / Customs;
• Computer literate and familiar with using MS Office applications, including MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio or similar, would be desirable;
• Confident with time management, planning and working independently to prioritize and deliver agreed goals, to agreed timescales and maintain progress within Performance Management System platform or similar;
• Confident and experienced with analytical skills using data to drive positive decision making.

The Role:

Business Data Analyst

• 6-month Contract
• £500 p/d outside IR35
• Hybrid: 1/2 days on site (Canary Wharf)

Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Map/catalogue of all applications and data stores that have no retention policy added and working with technical teams, develop schedule for them to remediate
• Create a catalogue of all retention risk and develop a plan for 24/25
• Working with Info-Gov teams act as Technical - IG bridge in controlling process, outcomes and prioritisation
• Working with the Service team to update all CMDB records for data retention
• Working with the Apps team develop a schedule for All systems data review, in conjunction with records management
• Work up process and governance documents, sharing as part of IT Gov framework, in response to Audit actions

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) is a high achieving, dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. As part of this recruitment process, we will be looking for a positive, creative and motivated individual who will be able to help shape and develop our fire safety service delivery in the years to come, ensuring that the level of service and fire safety protection offered to the people of Derbyshire continues to be of the highest standard.

As one of our Business Safety Advisors you will work to support businesses and educate them to comply with their statutory duties relating to fire safety legislation. You will increase the presence of DFRS in the business community and signpost businesses to further information and/or other relevant enforcing authorities where appropriate. This will include the development of web material and social media content.

You will work to identify and establish links with a diverse range of business networks within Derbyshire to ensure DFRS fully contributes to supporting economic growth through better regulation at a local level.

As part of a Fire Safety team, you will also carry out inspection work and follow up activities, responding to, and supporting response crews, post fire incidents, unwanted fire alarm activations and complaints relating to simple premises in the built environment. You will undertake consultations relevant to the role such as licensing and temporary event notices. You will assist owners and occupiers of buildings to comply with current fire safety regulations, sometimes in challenging situations. Therefore, a confident, enthusiastic and professional attitude is essential, along with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

An outline knowledge and understanding of the broad aims of risk-based fire safety legislation and the principles of risk-based management is required.

The successful applicant will complete our structured programme of externally verified fire safety training. You will be developed within the role and may have the opportunity to progress through the career progression criteria. You will be required to attend training (sometimes residential) in and out of Derbyshire as part of the role.

You will be required to work from various DFRS locations as necessary for which a pool car will be provided. A full UK driving license for manual vehicles is essential (reasonable adjustments can be made under the Equality Act 2010 for those unable to hold a driving licence due to a disability).

The normal working week is 37 hours, usually worked Monday to Friday, however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours, evenings and weekends as required.
