Housing Project Officer (Domestic Abuse)
Full-time (37 of Hours) – Temporary Contract to August 2025
B2 - £29,269 – 31,364 per annum
North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced professional to join the Housing Options team; this post puts you at the heart of a fast-paced and responsive department which is critical in the delivery of the Council’s housing options & homelessness services. This fixed term role is focusing on to domestic abuse; ensuring that our housing service and wider corporate departments are compliant with all relevant legislation, and that processes are in place to support domestic abuse victims and survivors to access our services.
Job Requirements:
• Experience, skill and aptitude for completing project-based tasks, and developing policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build and develop relationships with relevant agencies & communicate on all levels.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Work-based Experience or an understanding of homelessness domestic abuse services and legislation including the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Domestic Abuse representative, providing support to the Housing Options Manager in all aspects related to domestic abuse and service delivery.
• Successfully lead the local authority in achieving DAHA accreditation by coordinating all necessary assessments, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Processing target hardening referrals for victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
• To be the Council’s representative at MARAC (Multi Agency risk Assessment Conference).
Key Attributes:
• Strong visual and language skills
• Competent across all aspects of IT including Packages such as Microsoft word/Excel/Teams
• A highly organized, dynamic & confident conscientious person
• The ability to work independently & think creatively to achieve required
objectives
You will be required to apply a high level of focus when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of domestic abuse services at an operational level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
