Role Purpose

The HR Business Partner will provide strategic and operational HR support to the Trust, acting as a key point of contact for managers and employees. The role requires a balance of hands-on HR management and the ability to deliver organisational development and workforce strategies in line with NHS objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Support:

• Partner with senior managers to deliver HR strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Lead workforce planning initiatives to address current and future staffing needs.
• Support the development and implementation of change management programs.

Employee Relations:

• Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with NHS policies and employment law.
• Manage disciplinary, grievance, and capability cases, promoting a fair and consistent approach.
• Act as a mediator and advisor in conflict resolution processes.

Organizational Development:

• Contribute to the design and delivery of organizational development initiatives.
• Support training and development programs to build leadership and staff capabilities.
• Promote diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement across the Trust.

Operational HR Management:

• Oversee recruitment processes, ensuring timely and effective onboarding of staff.
• Monitor and manage workforce data, including sickness absence, retention, and turnover metrics.
• Support managers in implementing performance management and appraisal systems.

Policy and Compliance:

• Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and comply with NHS standards and employment legislation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure GDPR compliance in all HR operations.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent, ideally within the NHS or public sector.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and workforce planning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations cases.
• Experience in organisational development and delivering HR projects.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills

• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above).
• Experience in supporting transformation or change management projects.
• Familiarity with NHS-specific policies and frameworks.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage the successful delivery of Cat A and Cat B fitouts for commercial office spaces. Based in Cambridge, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing multiple fitout projects from inception through to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

As Project Manager, you will work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of projects. You will also play a pivotal role in maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying potential risks, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of Cat A and Cat B fitout projects, from pre-construction to handover.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and risk management.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all aspects of the project are effectively managed.
• Ensure projects comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering Cat A and Cat B fitout projects within the commercial sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the fitout industry, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and motivate staff to meet project objectives.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
• Ability to think strategically and problem-solve under pressure.
• A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• PQS or RICS qualifications (or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.

Joining the operations team, you will be required to support both the pre-contract and contracts team, where you will coordinate with bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals and multiple projects in progress. Duties to include:

• Produce tender programmes
• Produce tender deliverables
• Produce, manage and update the construction programme
• Manage and incorporate change events into the construction programme
• Provide detailed support and assistance to the project in order to enable the team to monitor pinch-points on the critical path and test and change logic where previously agreed to either improve upon the baseline programme or to mitigate potential delays
• Produce reports and programme commentary for customers on particular reporting requirements

• Engage with supply chain and bid team members to discuss and achieve optimum programme and method solutions
• Attend all tender meetings as required and assist in the preparation of bid submission documents
• Identify, communicate and add key programme risks to the risk register
• Ensure effective communication of bid strategy and solutions to the project team
