My client is an independent Civil Engineering Contractor , They specialise in the power, utilities, and construction sectors.

Due to planned growth and an influx of work in the Hertfordshire area, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Project Manager with a solid background in Civil Engineering Projects.

The company are ideally seeking an individual with experience within Civils/power/Uitiles that resides in the Hertfordshire / Cambridgeshire area that can run a portfolio of works in the region.

The initial project is valued at circa £3.5m and involves the construction of a new substation located between Luton and Stansted Airport.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

Site delivery team, inclusive of - Site Manager, Foreman, Gangers, Machine operators and operatives

Role definition: Efficiently and safely manage project(s) contributing to increasing the number of projects profitably delivered.

Ensuring safe and effective delivery whilst managing the expectations and relationship of the client and ensuring that projects deliver against all defined objectives.

Work in collaboration with various departments/areas of the supply chain and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered to the highest possible standard regarding quality, time, safety and value.

Project Manager job description/person specification:

Significantly contribute to continuous improvement in project management processes and construction standards, quality, safety and value across the group.

Project Manager's experience and competence:

1. Proven experience of managing multiple high complexity projects within the relevant discipline.
2. 10 years or more experience preferred. Experience of managing projects £2m plus.
3. Proven experience of managing multiple high complexity Design & Build Projects throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline (essential).
5. Chartered membership of appropriate professional body (not essential).
6. Knowledge of all aspects of successful project management.
7. Excellent commercial awareness and proven experience of delivering profitable works.
8. Experience of risk and risk management.
9. Proficient in the use of personal computer and business applications/software etc.
10. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel throughout UK.
11. Can do attitude.

Your new role
As a project administrator, you will work closely with the project manager, account manager, project buyers, and other team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of project tasks and documentation.
You will be the go-to expert on internal system processes and requirements, ensuring all materials are completed correctly and on time. Key Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain spreadsheets, unfunded reports, and internal system documentation.
• Create and manage delivery notes, commercial invoices, and carton labels, including barcode labels using specialised software.

• Coordinate services as directed by the Team Buyer and Project Manager
• Maintain team minutes and create server project folders, ensuring accurate archiving.
• Attend weekly team meetings and maintain activity logs.
• Serve as the expert user of client online systems, supporting the team.
• Adjust and report stock levels for projects as needed.
• Book couriers and handle packing boxes.
• Manage internal logs and handle order confirmations, job close requests, job cost transfers, billing, and purchase orders.

Senior Project Manager - Facilities Management - Stevenage - £80,000 plus excellent benefits.

This company, a National player in the FM world, require a Senior Project Manager to be based on one their world class clients site based in Stevenage. The Project Manager will be an astute, analytical minded individual tasked with proactively ensuring, in a front-line, hands-on fashion, the cost effective and timely deliverance of projects and maintaining excellence in Facilities Management.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the P&L and to lead and direct operational activities in order to maintain and improve VFM.
• Develop strong relationships with customers staff and their representatives applying Key Account Management principles in order to foster good working relationships at every level and optimise the commercial position.
• Lead and inspire the delivery teams and employees toward the cost-effective delivery of contractual obligations in such a way to meet all stakeholders' expectations

The Ideal Candidate:

• Willing to travel with a full UK driving licence.
• A thorough knowledge of project services within the UK in the Building Services/Facilities Management industry.
• An effective and progressive leader with experience of directing and developing multi-disciplined teams across wide geographical territories
• An experienced leader of change with the ability to lead and direct others towards acceptance of new business ideas, methods and working practices. A clear understanding of transformational leadership and an ability to change organisations, culture and behaviours
• A driver of people and projects with a very strong commercial awareness and a track record of achievement on complex and demanding contracts and accounts
• A proven track record of setting up and managing supply chain partners, multiple suppliers and sub-contractors
• Strong commercial acumen
• Determination and resilience to achieve objectives and targets when faced with increasing operational difficulties. An ability to identify and drive through 'win-win' solutions when even under considerable or sustained pressure
