Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to lead growth initiatives and drive sales strategies within our agriculture sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving business-to-business (B2B) sales. This role is essential in expanding our presence in the agriculture sector, developing key partnerships, and contributing to long-term business success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning:Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the agriculture division.
  Identify emerging markets, key prospects, and innovative opportunities in the agricultural industry.
  Establish sales targets, performance metrics, and business development goals to increase revenue.
  
• Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:Build strong relationships with agricultural businesses, government agencies, NGOs, and industry stakeholders.
  Manage client accounts from prospecting to contract signing, ensuring high client satisfaction and retention.
  Develop tailored consultancy solutions to meet the needs of B2B clients in the agriculture sector.
  
• Sales Leadership:Lead the business-to-business sales process by identifying potential clients, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  Drive the sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field (MBA or master’s degree preferred).
  Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or consultancy services within the agriculture sector.
  Proven track record of driving business growth, securing high-value deals, and managing key client relationships.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead the business planning and budgeting process as well as manage the Company's financial analysis and projections. In addition, you will also work closely with the Operations Finance Team in financial and management reporting as well as transformation projects for finance and business related processes.

Oversee Procurement department to ensure the efficient operation and delivery of the hospital, specialists and projects services of the Company.

Provide support to the management team in both operational and strategic areas, drive business process improvement and spearhead the use of business analytics to enhance the strategy and decision making capabilities of the Company. This shall also include the pricing and costing processes of the Company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial and Management Reporting

• Examine, analyze and present monthly financial results to the management team
• Review financial performance against historical results, budgets and forecasts, and perform variance analysis
• Prepare presentation slides of monthly financial results, including analyzing any fluctuation as well as identifying key business and profitability drivers, for reporting to the management team
• Accountable for providing financial monitoring for new businesses and projects spend, including tracking performance against business projection targets
• Examine and evaluate the cost-efficiency of departments/clinics in the Company
• Work closely with finance team to ensure the integrity of the financial data generated to stakeholders
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of the weekly and monthly operational statistics are captured, including tracking of the daily statistics versus budget set
• Lead, motivate and develop the capabilities of the finance team with a view for their professional growth and contribution to the Company

Financial Planning and Forecasting

• Lead the Company’s annual budget process by working with individual departments to prepare budgets, review and present to Senior Management for approval.
• Perform periodic forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Provide strategic financial planning support to management/HODs with data-driven analysis to make informed decisions
• Lead / participate in business projections including evaluation of new acquisitions/ businesses / clinics.
• Manage the group capital expenditure during the annual budgeting process and monitor the actual spending compared to the budget.
• Enhance data integrity and reporting controls to enable agile scenario reporting and analysis.
• Business Process Transformation
• Drive business processes improvement, assess operating effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations to improve business processes & financial data integrity with the aim to continually improve internal processes.
• Implement business intelligence tool/data analytics tools and dashboard reports to drive efficiency and analysis over revenue and cost processes

Pricing and Costing

• Set up and maintain the pricing and costing SOPs and processes of the Company
• Hold periodic review with the management and business teams monitor pricing and costing trends of competitors and suppliers and propose follow up actions
• Incorporate the pricing and costing market trends into the business planning cycle of the Company in order to achieve the business performance targets

Procurement Department

• Oversee the Procurement function (including sourcing and purchasing, warehousing logistics, inventory control management, etc) with the support of a Assistant Director, Central Supplies Department.

Undertake any other duties requested by the Financial Controller and management

Summary of Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director of Development and Project Management, the Director is responsible for all aspects of the onsite process and construction of all projects within the Department of Design and Project Management team or as required by the department head. The set role will include involvement at an early stage in the development of the project with the majority of the role concentrating on the delivery aspect of the defined works. The successful candidate must have Private house construction industry experience on major fit-out, A & A projects with experience in live working environment preferable.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a team of internal project/construction managers & site coordinator, assistants and coordinators to successfully deliver complex projects within a live dynamic environment.
• Lead the onsite team and ensure project completion within the set budget, schedule and conformance with design documents.
• Advise and establish clear project programmes and milestones to monitor and report project progress.
• Participate in developing project bidding strategy with the project team and purchasing department. Prepare scopes of work for each trade, in construction with purchasing.
• Review and provide schedule information for bid documents. May participate in contract negotiations.
• Coordinate and integrate the activities of all of the assistant project managers, project engineers and other support staff on the project. Establish priorities for the project staff based on owner and project requirements.
• Establish regularly scheduled meetings with the contractors and design team to review the following: shop drawing preparation / approval, equipment/material lead times and required on-site dates, manpower projections vis-a-vis the project schedule, quality/performance issues on and off site.
• Monitor contractor/vendor pending costs. Ensure that the cost report is updated on a monthly basis.
• Coordinate with the project executive all client “business” related contact/correspondence to ensure consistency of reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular project/contractor meetings to review project progress and the following issues: Current cost projections/change orders issued to date, anticipated “pending” costs, schedule update, requisition review, highlight near term major activities, changes to the project, any other issues deemed appropriate.
• Ensure all costs and risk updates are communicated and incorporated into the overall project reporting.
• Obtain approvals for changes to the project that have been generated by the contractor team.
• Establish adequate Inspection and Testing with hold points enforced to ensure desired quality of delivery is maintained.
• Obtain client’s acceptance of the work, and sign-off for the completed project. Responsible for the preparation and submission of the final project report, and prompt closeout of the subcontracts.
• Study, evaluate and identify all tasks and risks from bidding to project undertaking, implementation and up to the final completion of the project.
• Initiate site activity investigations and assessments.
• Evaluate and assess equipment and recommend designs for the project team integrating safety measures.
• Analyze, evaluate and initiate potential energy conservation measures while executing a project.
• Design, develop and initiate site-specific safety plan including an accident-free safe work environment.
• Lead, direct, assist and support construction teams to ensure deliverable processes on time and within the budget.
• Prepare detailed, accurate timely project reports including work schedules, implementations, deviations, change in subcontractors, customer issues and other related problems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BEng degree in Engineering, BArch degree Architecture / built environment or BSc Construction Management discipline or a similar field.
• 17+ years previous work experience as a Senior Project Manager, preferably in an A & A related field
• Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
• Proven ability to manage and lead teams to build collaboration and efficiency.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the budget process.

Job Description:

• Lead team in tendering proposals in collaboration with corporate Departments to pitch for and secure new projects
• Overall responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of the project. Work closely with client’s representatives, consultants and other stakeholders to deliver all key project targets to highest standard with the project team
• Review and scrutinize the project start-up and execution plan with the site management team, as well as to define key project targets in terms of time, cost, quality, resources, EHS and contractual
• Prepare and manage budgetary plans, achieving required, or beyond target profit margin, able to Identify risks and provide appropriate mitigating strategies
• Formulate subcontract award strategies independently. Manage all submitted Additional Works and Variation Order (AW/ VO) during project’s life cycle to ensure proper documentation and accountability of variance
• Identify and drive the implementation of innovative construction methodologies and practices on site to improve productivity and achieve lean outcome

Job Requirement:

• Degree in Building/ Civil Engineering/ Construction Management or related
• 1. Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction field, with at least 7 years in a managerial capacity for building projects
• Strong all-rounded knowledge in construction management, cost engineering, planning capability and contractual matters
• Able to articulate and share vision, goals plans and strategies as well as values to influence team to achieve desired objectives
