Job Summary: Responsible for planning and managing projects of various sizes and complexity; accountable for end-to-end delivery of a project including managing the cost / budget, schedule, timeline, dependencies, resources, scope, quality, and risk; ensuring the work of the project is aligned with the stated business objectives; providing a blend of technical and business acumen to drive the design, development and implementation of strategic projects; setting and managing customer expectations; developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders to obtain project objectives, driving deliverables and activities by removing barriers, and escalating risk/issues.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: PMP or similar certification preferred; additional experience/training may be considered as a substitute.
Work Experience: 5 years project management experience; prior healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated use of variety of the project management concepts, practices, and procedures (i.e. Project Management Institute, PMBOK). Advanced time management and analytical skills. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PPT, Word, Project. Excellent communication skills. Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills, including attention to detail. Able to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion. Able to multi-task and balance multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Develops project plans, involving all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility, and ensuring resource availability and allocation. Oversees all aspects of projects; prepares status reports. Measures and tracks project performance, using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget; makes adjustments to project as needed. Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost; performs risk management to minimize project risks. Facilitates change requests to ensure all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget. Manages relationships with all stakeholders; meets with project team members to identify and resolve issues. Coordinates development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed. Reports and escalates to management as needed. Conducts post project evaluation, and identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements. Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.
Working Relationships: Direct supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with users and user leadership. Works with internal/external customers including vendors. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at director level or above.
