Introduction

The Finance, Portfolio and Performance (FPP) team is critical to supporting a thriving Parliamentary democracy. We play a leading role in delivering the House of Commons' Strategy and corporate priorities through business and financial planning, analysing performance, and supporting the delivery of projects and programmes across Parliament. Equally important are the financial services, systems, accounting, reporting and Members' services that we provide to keep the House of Commons Service working effectively and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

The Role

The Business Management Team (BMT) is a sub team within FPP and provides executive level support to Directors in FPP and PACT, including secretariat for both senior leadership teams and a comprehensive business support function.

This role will support the Business Management Director (BMD) to deliver strategy and planning support within both teams across FPP and PACT. It is responsible for the development of business plans as well as ensuring agreed plans are monitored and reported appropriately.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

• Manage the business management cycle, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of the annual timetable and agreeing deliverables with responsible owners.
• Support the planning process to capture and report strategic objectives for inclusion to the Corporate Business Plan.
• Responsible for maintaining the principle and corporate risk registers for FPP and PACT, and capture the key controls implemented by risk owners to ensure business objectives are met.
• Support the annual assurance process and coordinate the self-assessment returns for submission to the Governance Office.
• Contribute to and/or lead on specific pieces of wider work and projects as directed by the Business Management Director.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Planning and Organisation | Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and deliver to agreed targets, within a small team. Experience of managing administrative processes, requiring consistency and a strong attention to detail. Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload, determining priorities and dealing with conflicting demands and changing priorities, whilst keeping colleagues and stakeholders informed of progress.

• Communication Skill | Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate senior level discussions and develop internal communications material. The Role

We are looking for a Project Leader who will be Responsible for developing business cases, design, procurement, construction and handover for a range of Maintenance Projects across the Parliamentary Estate. Fundamental to this will be the ability to communicate well with an array of stakeholders and clients at various levels of the organisation.

The role is multi-disciplinary based, meaning that we are looking for a general project manager who may have a background in general building works or engineering and can turn their hand to specialist projects which could involve a heritage, security or multi-disciplinary component.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience managing IT initiatives, including personnel of different skillsets, backgrounds, locations, and maturity

Key Role:

Lead the day-to-day financial operations of a Civil Sector business unit. Partner with account executives to develop annual and multi-year business plans and provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues. Contribute to the annual planning process and continue to incorporate innovative ideas and best practices. Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and current and predicted future trends. Lead and coordinate the activities of FP&A and Project Control Teams, including indirect rate management, labor performance, quarterly forecasting and EAC oversight, contract setup, managing the bottoms-up forecasting process, effectively developing strategies to identify and minimize financial risks in accordance with the firm’s ERM process, identifying and developing strategies to maximize account and firms financial KPIs, and support ongoing talent management by actively managing staff development. Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with leadership in the accounting and finance function of a high-performing professional services provider

• Experience with leading a finance function of a professional services provider in detailed exposure to best practices with annual planning and financial analysis

• Experience with managing financial operations of a services business

• Knowledge of Oracle or ERP accounting systems

• Ability to identify, recruit, motivate, coach, develop, and retain a robust team

• Bachelor's degree

Key Role:

• 10+ years of experience in technical professional service sales with an emphasis on Cybersecurity, including security strategy, advanced cyber defense, managed services, and cloud 

• 5+ years of experience with sales in pharmaceutical spaces

• 5+ years of experience with consulting business development activities

• Experience with presenting and communicating to teams, executives, and clients, including briefings, sales calls, and team-based discussions

• Ability to own and drive the sales process from lead generation through deal closure and provide longer term account management to strategic client accounts

• Ability to thrive in a team-based and fast-paced consulting environment and coordinate with key stakeholders across technical capabilities and market and industry teams

• Ability to lead fast-paced delivery in challenging commercial environments, work with senior leaders to foster positive client relationships, identify new business opportunities with existing clients, and develop new intellectual capital
