Job Summary

Partners with Business Groups to ensure delivery of applications aligned to the business and IT strategy, as well as the support of those applications. A Senior Planner will be expected to complete duties with a relatively high level of independence and have considerable direction over assigned tasks due to an assumed understanding of project needs resulting from prior work experience:

• Performs technical review of land use and development proposals (master plans, site plans, subdivision plats, civil construction drawings, etc.) to ensure compliance with design criteria and regulations, mitigate impacts to the parks and open space system, and implement department goals and objectives.

• Initiates and fosters outreach and consultation with staff in other divisions of PROS as well as other departments to gather input related to potential impacts and mitigation measures for projects being reviewed.

• Prepares commentary and organizes project documentation so that plan review comments and decisions are well-grounded.

• Coordinates with external stakeholders, including developers and consultants, to address plan comments, ensure conformance with standards and criteria, and reach agreement on final implementation measures.

The Business Risk and Control Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple risk management programs supporting Citi Businesses (Issues Mgmt, MCA, Audit Support, Process Improvements, etc.) and how they achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of associated business risks. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of risk & control services across COO Transformation Program Management. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Accountable for the end results of an area.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures identification of appropriate risks which impact Transformation governance and delivery, and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
• Serve as R&C stakeholder for Transformation Management supporting timely closure of Regulatory Issues, Consent Order Commitments, and IA Findings.
• Serve as primary liaison between Transformation Management and Second/Third Line of Defense teams.
• Execute and/or influence governance and the facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA, i.e.. Risk & Control Self-Assessment) as required by the MCA Standard including the assessment and appropriate approval of risk associated with business changes. 
• Responsible for the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework, including Risk Control Policy, Control Standard, Issue Management Policy, Lesson Learned Policy and Control Inventory.
• Manage the identification of issue root cause, partnering with control and process owners to recommendations holistic corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in according with Issue Management and Escalation Policies.
• Support review and challenge, within the FLUs, on the effective design and management of controls to mitigate risks as required by the Control Standards, including implementation and operation, conducting the control monitoring, handling deficiencies, and escalating issues for resolution. 
• Exercise control over Operational and Compliance Risk in accordance with established Policy requirements.
• Identify, assess, escalate, and manage risk exposures across Risk Categories (Operational Compliance, Strategic, Reputational, etc), including material, emerging and concentration risks in accordance with enterprise Policies and the establishment of Key Indicators to monitor risk exposures.
• Assess Risk Appetite and monitor / assess exposures against this in accordance with enterprise requirements (if applicable).
• Take ownership to identify, assess, record and response to Operational and Compliance Risk events, ensuring these are captured accurately, timely and in accordance with requirements.
• Assess the risks associated with new activities and changes to the Business, ensuring these are well understood and adequately controlled (if applicable).
• Take ownership to ensure that risk and control responsibilities and accountabilities are embedded within FLUs, including providing training and leading by example.
• Guide and influence standards and procedures that conform to enterprise requirements and support sound operational and compliance risk management.
• Apply knowledge of the business, products or services to identify and implement control points and processes throughout the business.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience
• Solid background in Risk Management, Process Improvement, and Control Development.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills.
• Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary.
• Excellent analytical skills to ensure all path to green for metrics is reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
• Proven ability to network across levels to understand cross impacts of a Transformation processes and related risks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Education:

• Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.

Job Description

DPR Construction is seeking a senior project engineer with a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience.  Project engineer responsibilities will be on commercial projects within our core markets: advanced technology, commercial, healthcare, higher education and life sciences. Project engineers will work closely with all members of the project team and will be responsible for the following:

• Participation and application of DPR’s environmental health and safety plan to constantly maintain injury-free environments including performing weekly safety audits.
• Mentor, develop and train team members for fast-paced growth.
• Management of other project engineer team members.
• Understanding and enforcement of contracts, including between DPR and subcontractors as well as DPR and the owner.
• Assist superintendent and project manager in the implementation of DPR policies and the execution of the project.
• Organizing the duties of other engineers, field office coordinator, project accountant and other assigned project staff. This includes providing direction, prioritization, and performance feedback.
• Participation in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.
• Organizing and electronically archiving project files for easy access by the project team.
• Preparation, monitoring, and updating project schedules.  Working with the superintendent to impact the schedule with project constraints.
• Preparation, maintenance, and implementation of various document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
• Distribution of new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties.
• Identifying, assembling, negotiating, and distributing change orders to both the owner and subcontractors.
• Preparing agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings including owner/architect/contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.
• Participating in project cost control. This includes maintaining internal records and working with subcontractors to make sure changes are getting paid.
• Preparing owner billing by assembling DPR costs, receiving and reviewing subcontractor invoices and organizing the documents in accordance with the owner’s requirements. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

• Organized work approach with the ability to adapt and adjust as required to support the projects’ current needs.
• Detailed knowledge of the assigned project scopes with a 100% hands-on approach.
• A desire to seek out and resolve construction problems/conflicts that arise during design and construction phases.
• Goal-orientated approach to promptly coordinate and resolve project issues within the project team (including interfacing with designers, engineers, and owners).
• Excellent listening and strong communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Effective participation in team environment.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar) and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar).
• 5+ years of experience as a project engineer, preferably within DPR’s core markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field.
• A strong work ethic, a “can-do” attitude and a passion for construction.
