Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our plant-based meat alternatives, mainly to the HoReCa channel. You will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and driving sales growth. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for our products. A strong network within the food space is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through research, networking, and market analysis. Actively seek out and engage potential customers to expand our client base.
- Develop, steer and manage new business opportunity pipelines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Apply and track strategies on different channels, e.g., email, adverts, etc., to explore new business opportunities.
- Develop in-depth knowledge and gain knowledge of our products.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market developments.
- Manage the entire sales cycle (including sales pipeline) and funnel the CRM system.
- Prepare and deliver sales pitches and presentations to potential clients, conferences and events.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure close and exceptional customer service, contact, engagement, and follow-up.
- Cultivate, engage and manage existing customer accounts to grow the business and improve customer loyalty.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback to the product development team.
- Represent the company at trade shows, events, and industry conferences.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in (B2B) sales, preferably within the food industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Passion for plant-based food products and sustainability.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team, as this is an independent role requiring individual ownership of the sales process.
- A self-starter with a strategic approach.
- Open-minded and adaptable to a dynamic start-up environment.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to take ownership and initiative in the sales process.
- A good network within the food space is an advantage.

- 5 Days work week (or part-time upon agreement).
