We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, highly motivated and experienced Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly and welcoming team at theOxford Cancer Centre to work in a split role between Physics Planning & Pre-treatment/Treatment .

Our equipment refresh programme is complete with two Varian Halcyon linacs & 3 Truebeams with RGSC & 6Dof couches, one of which has Hyperarc . Pre-treatment houses 2 GoSim CT scanners with auto-contouring software. Our satellite unit in Swindon houses 2 Trubeam linacs with 6DoF couches and a GoSim CT scanner and our single linac with a GoSim CT scanner satellite centre in Milton Keynes opens later this year.

Patients are at the heart of what we do, and we are looking for Therapeutic Radiographers who can deliver excellent care with compassion and respect. We deliver a range of techniques including IMRT, VMAT, DIBH, IGRT, complex SABR, SRS/SRT, TBI - all grades are expected and encouraged to participate in these treatment and verification techniques.

Our Practice Educator team can assist with professional development; we strongly encourage Radiographers to get involved in audit & service development. Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.

Work on a rotational basis through all clinical areas; treatment floor, pre-treatment area and Radiotherapy Physics treatment planning.

Participate in all aspects of the treatment planning service. This includes carrying out highly complex treatment planning, introducing new techniques and carrying out applied research.

Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.

Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.

The Clinical Innovation Adoption Senior Project Manager will: Facilitate the adoption and adaption of innovations across the region by engaging and working with clinicians and managers from providers and commissioners and the HIOTV on projects that address clinical priorities as identified nationally and locally. Work closely with the HIOTVs Strategic and Industry Partnerships (commercial team) to support commercialisation of innovations as appropriate. Ensure provider budgets are in place to enable technology adoption providing supporting papers for directors of finance in NHS trusts. Work with the CIA PMO to determine resource requirements to ensure that the team skills are engaged for delivery. Work closely with the regional medicines management team to implement and report on uptake of NICE TAs linked to national, regional and local programmes. Agree clear evaluation criteria and health economics with the commissioning organisations to enable decisions to scale or reject the innovation and service transformation. Agree monitoring arrangements for uptake and provide monthly reports against implementation plans. These reports will go to the Clinical Innovation Adoption Oversight Group, programme boards and NHSE. At Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley, we are excited to announce this key position within our Clinical Innovation Adoption (CIA) team. As a Senior Programme Manager, you will join the team engaging and working with clinical leaders to support and monitor adoption of new technology, whether pharmaceutical, health technology, diagnostics, digital or best practice. Your efforts will ensure our projects serve the diverse population we are dedicated to supporting.

The role is a key link with other HIOTV programmes – in particular, Strategic and Industry Partnerships and Patient Safety and Clinical Improvement.

The appointed individual will have strong project management and business planning skills, be a strong self-motivated and flexible team player and able to lead on individual CIA projects/programmes working with the Director of Clinical Innovation Adoption and her team. The post holder should have a collaborative leadership style and enjoy engaging with our ICS systems, clinicians, patients, and management. There is a focus on supporting Integrated Care Systems that necessitates engagement and delivery skills with the frontline and senior management. Applicants should also have an interest and aptitude to understand the application of life science technologies in health settings as well as being a good communicator.

The Clinical Innovation Adoption Senior Project Manager will:
• Facilitate the adoption and adaption of innovations across the region by engaging and working with clinicians and managers from providers and commissioners and the HIOTV on projects that address clinical priorities as identified nationally and locally.
• Identify and assess innovations suitable for adoption; this includes NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) projects and activities.
• Where appropriate consider combinatorial innovation solutions for therapeutic areas and their pathways.
• Manage the process for successful adoption through service pathway redesign.
• Manage a pipeline of high impact innovations across the HIOTV region.
• Ensure evidence to support the change in clinical practice is sourced and clear.
• Agree implementation plans for uptake nationally and locally of sourced innovative technology (including NICE TAs) where there is a demonstrable clinical need.
• Work closely with the HIOTV’s Strategic and Industry Partnerships (commercial team) to support commercialisation of innovations as appropriate.
• Ensure provider budgets are in place to enable technology adoption – providing supporting papers for directors of finance in NHS trusts.
• Work with the CIA PMO to determine resource requirements to ensure that the team skills are engaged for delivery.
• Work closely with the regional medicines management team to implement and report on uptake of NICE TAs linked to national, regional and local programmes.
• Agree clear evaluation criteria and health economics with the commissioning organisations to enable decisions to scale or reject the innovation and service transformation.
• Agree monitoring arrangements for uptake and provide monthly reports against implementation plans. These reports will go to the Clinical Innovation Adoption Oversight Group, programme boards and NHSE.
• Identify risks and issues that are preventing rollout and escalate these (and plans for mitigation) to the CIA Oversight Group.
• Set up and manage innovation pipeline documentation for ease of access for HIOTV programmes and regional partners.
• Use the suite of high quality project templates for technology adoption to manage the process of market analysis, implementation and measuring/monitoring for projects.
• Work with the project and programme leads to ensure documentation is of a high quality and proportionate to the size and risk of the projects and programmes.
• Lead on set up and delivery of study design, real world evaluation and service evaluation.
• Attend and contribute to the relevant programme boards.
• Develop and implement data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data.
• Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide information and analytical advice and expertise.
• Support production of tenders/business cases as required for the projects.
• Present information and issues to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
