due to an internal promotion we now have an exciting opportunity for a commercial finance manager to join our high performing finance team business partnering one of our regions of 60+ restaurants here at wagamama!
you will work closely with and business partner one of three regional directors + 6 area managers, developing and delivering insightful commercial analysis to achieve strategic objectives for their region
this role plays a key part in driving future business performance for the region spotting areas of opportunity and making improvements to drive financial performance for the region
role responsibilities |
- business partner regional director, and be the financial expert for the region, delivering accurate management information which is simple to understand and easily read by non-financial stakeholders
- to establish strong credibility with the operators, working in an engaging, supportive and objective manner
- present trading analysis to regional team on both a weekly and periodic basis
- play a key role in commercial upskilling across the region, by driving for both an understanding of and for improvements within the p&l
- optimising reporting and management information to drive action and insight
- work collaboratively with property and operations to produce investment appraisals and supporting analysis, that supports opportunities for estate growth within the region
- work collaboratively cross functionally, particularly with functional regional counterparts i.e. marketing, people, risk etc. to deliver regional objectives and commercial understanding
- input into the monthly exec reporting pack; ensuring analysis reflects performance against key business metrics, strategic priorities + latest trends
- to manage and own discreet areas of the budget and forecasting process
key skills + personal attributes we’re looking for |
- qualified accountant – CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- proven track record of business partnering and managing stakeholders
- pro-active, strategic thinker and passionate about delivering insightful information that drives improvement
- curious, self-confident, and tenacious with good influencing skills
- proven track record of making complex information quick and easy to understand, to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- gravitas and credibility to work with non-financial stakeholders
- excellent excel/modelling + presentation skills
- strong technical and analytical skills
