This position reports to Team Lead, Business Processing (Group Insurance Operations), and the key role is to carry out the daily tasks of the business processing function, perform supervisory function and to innovate the business unit’s progression.
The Job
· Issuance of policy contracts and endorsements
· Issuance of policy adjustment, member movement
· Responsible for premiums computation and experience refund
· Ensure tax invoices/endorsement schedules/medical cards are issued timely
· Ensure the accuracy of records entries & proper documentation
· Perform supervisory function and guidance to junior staff for service excellence
· Participate in departmental projects and initiatives, with User Acceptance Testing prior to deployment of changes in system
· Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
· Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
· Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
· Manage escalations and communications with policyholders and intermediaries and third party administrators
· Provide reviews and updates to SOP to incorporate changes from regulations and best practices.
Our Requirements
· At least Degree from recognized institution.
· Preferred at least 5 years relevant experience specializing in Group Insurance administration/business processing.
· Applicant along with experience in supervisory function will be an advantage.
· Good time management, good analytical skills, meticulous and pro-activeness
· A person who is task and results oriented, and a good team player
· Mathematically inclined and with strong communication skills
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. The job requires significant data sorting and manipulation
· Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications
· People motivator who can innovate the business unit
· Independent, able to perform under pressure and unsupervised
· High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
· Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
