Search are actively recruiting a Electrical Project Engineer for Battery Storage facility project near Glasgow on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering and energy sectors.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide technical support through project lifecycles to help deliver relevant inhouse improvements and project delivery
• Working with Project site teams to deliver electrical engineering input to new projects and modifications
• Support and work closely with other electrical contractors and design consultancies
• Generate the bill of material, technical specification for the procurement department
• Provide accurate request for tender documentation
• Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, contractors, service providers, site based/group engineering team and production team
• Liaise with the site Electrical Engineers to ensure new system integration to the MV/LV distribution system is fully compliant.
• Any other project engineering duties as required.

What you'll need to be successful:

• Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within electrical engineering;
• At least 3 years' experience as an electrical or project engineer;
• Previous electrical engineering, NEC and Microsoft Project experience is essential;
• Energy experience is highly desirable;
• Site and design experience would be highly desirable.

HVAC Project Design Engineer

We are currently working with a fantastic client who is looking for a HVAC project engineer who will provide design, draughting and engineering support to the project managers in executing and delivering projects to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed design, calculations and project drawings
• Specify and select materials, components and equipment
• Assist with the preparation of project documentation, technical files and work packs
• Contribute to integrated safety when reviewing engineering designs and ensuring all technical and design risks are identified to meet project requirements
• Ensure high standards are maintained in terms of client liaison, both verbally and by email
• Create specifications, co-ordinate procurement of materials and ensure delivery to client
• Where required, travel to installation sites and review/rectify any issues arising between client and company
• Carry out regular design and project reviews
• Analyse and evaluate quotations
• Control project costs
• Liaise with clients and suppliers
• Where required, travel to client premises.

Experience and requirements

• ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Competency in CAD MEP 3D modelling software
• Computer literate in Microsoft Packages
• Knowledge of HVACR discipline and systems

The Position advertised is Monday to Friday 9-5 with a salary of £45,000 P/A

Project Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and plan HVAC projects for onshore and offshore clients from conceptual design through to close out.
• Carry out HVAC surveys.
• Run project schedules and project delivery plans.
• Prepare quotations in response to client enquiries.
• Carry out detailed design, calculations and drawings.
• Ensure high standards are maintained in terms of client liaison, both verbally and by email.
• To monitor project budgets on a regular basis and bring any potential overspend to the attention of the project manager as soon as known.
• Create specifications, co-ordinate procurement of materials and ensure delivery to client.
• Where required, travel to installation sites and review/rectify any issues arising between client and company.
• Carry out regular design and project reviews.
• Order materials and equipment.
• Analyse and carry out technical bid evaluation of supplier proposals.
• Control project costs.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers.
• Maintain project files and produce document packs.

Essential requirements

• Educated to HNC in mechanical engineering
• Previous experience working within HVAC

* Be aware of commercial implications within contracts e.g. payment milestones and liquidated damages (LD) and work with contract specialist as applicable
* Ensure regular interface with client/suppliers/key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are satisfied.
* Ensure equipment designs fulfil customer specifications, while managing technical elements efficiently and effectively to ensure best solution is provided within the confines of the budget.
* Where applicable provide technical support to offshore personnel as and when required/ensure key parties are engaged to provide technical support.
* Provide regular and timely reports to all stakeholders on overall project progress.
* Working with PCA & PC to prepare project cost sheets for monthly presentation to the Board of Management (BoM).
* Raise requisitions for required project materials, site personnel and equipment engaging with PA's & PC's accordingly for support.
* Responsible for specification, issue and return of all equipment and materials, inclusive of an transportation requirements.
* Arrange and witness client FAT equipment testing (as required).
* Gaining customer feedback by customer satisfaction using FPAL and client visits onshore, offshore and overseas as required.

Earnings of £55,000+ are up for grabs for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer who is competent with installations & commissioning.

You will be part of the Major Projects division working on the biggest projects for the Ministry of Defence & His Majesty's Prison Service.
