Our client, haulage and warehouse company based in Lincoln, is looking for a versatile Transport Planner to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role is located 20 minutes outside of Lincoln City Centre, candidates ideally must have access to their own transport due to location.
Offering a competitive salary dependent on experience.
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
About the Role:
As a Transport Planner, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Transport Manager with the day-to-day planning and management of loads. This isn't just a behind-the-scenes role—your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional transport planning
.
You'll be involved in:
Driver Training & Development: Organize and conduct driver training sessions, including tachograph (taco) card training, ensuring our drivers are fully equipped to operate safely and efficiently.
Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers to maintain and develop strong relationships, resolving any issues and ensuring high levels of service. You'll also assist in identifying new business opportunities, from tenders to customer presentations.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all loads are planned in compliance with driver hours and the working time directive and handle any incidents or accidents promptly and professionally.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate is not just a transport planner but a dynamic professional who is comfortable stepping outside the traditional boundaries of the role. We’re looking for someone who has previous transport experience: A solid background in transport planning is essential. Holding a Transport Manager CPC is desirable, but if you're willing to work towards it, we want to hear from you.

Strong Communicator: Your ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, will be key in building relationships with our customers and drivers.
