Collaborate with the Research Clinical Lead, Research Pathway Manager, and Senior Programme Lead to support project delivery and strategic alignment Data and Information Identify and engage clinical nurse specialists (CNSs) within the breast workforce for pilot testing communication training simulations. Establish baseline data for CNS participants, monitoring progress and outcomes throughout the pilot. Identify and track key metrics to measure the impact of educational activities on the workforce. Ensure that data is managed effectively and meets GDPR requirements Planning and Reporting Evaluate the workforce impact of the education provided, using data-driven insights to refine and improve offerings. Track and evaluate the effectiveness of CCT, including peer support meetings and evaluations of training initiatives like CanSurviveUK. Oversee budget management Lead sustainability initiatives, working with other cancer alliances and research organisations to promote and license the educational offerings for further use. In response to the Carter Reviews diagnostics work team was introduced, however following the Mike Richards review further investment was secured to increase the team size to manage the increased outputs for Diagnostics including delivery of Community Diagnostic Centres as well as the diagnostic pillar transformation. This role is part of the newly expanded team. The Diagnostics Team support Integrated Care systems to deliver the diagnostics transformation, specifically supporting network formation, review of clinical pathways and implementation of Community Diagnostic Hubs. The overall objective of the team is to improve outcomes and access to Diagnostics ensuring earlier diagnosis and connected patient records. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Provide support to the Assistant Director of Finance (ADoF), Head of Financial Management (HoFM), Divisional Finance Manager (DFM) and Corporate Finance Manager (CFM) in providing an effective monitoring and reporting service to the trust in accordance with the agreed timetables, procedures and standards prescribed within the trust. 2) Produce annual budgets for divisions, calculating the annual budget from information provided by budget managers, the financial management and wider finance teams, and taking account of external factors. 3) Responsible for producing the draft financial position for the divisions for review by the DFM in accordance with the agreed timetables, procedures and standards prescribed. This will include updating the Trusts financial ledgers on a monthly basis and investigating any anomalies within the divisions in order to resolve these in line with audit guidance. 4) To ensure that all relevant financial data, including all necessary income and expenditure accruals and budget adjustments, has been uploaded in line with the monthly reporting timetable and that all inappropriate transactions are recoded in order to reflect the true financial position. 5) Proactively review accruals for accuracy in conjunction with budget holders on a monthly basis and liaise with other organisations to ensure invoices are sent and received in a timely manner. 6) Investigate material variances within the divisions and analyse expenditure/income trends to inform the production of divisional year-end financial position forecasts. 7) Produce detailed monthly budget statements, summaries and variance reports for the divisions.
