A job opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a highly established organisation during a period of rapid technical and business transformation.
Your new role
The IT Project Manager will join an innovative and fast-paced IT team during a period of transition and transformation. You will be responsible for delivering a range of high-profile IT projects, whilst liaising with several key stakeholders. Reporting to the IT Programme Manager, you will work closely with the IT Business Analysts and key business sponsors/stakeholders to support workload management, dependencies, strategic alignment, and progress. You will take responsibility for the end-to-end project delivery of the required solution, managing the project with full control of scope, risks, and budgets.
You will work closely with IT colleagues to review business requirements, match to appropriate solutions, and manage any external tender selection processes alongside the procurement team where appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
- A proven track record of having worked as an IT Project Manager, including experience of having delivered highly regulated projects
- Experience of delivering IT projects in the Utilities sector or another highly regulated industry
- Knowledge of managing projects in a largely outsourced environment
- Considerable IT delivery, project & portfolio management experience
- Project implementation expertise
- Hold a Prince2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or equivalent Project management qualification
- ITIL experience / qualification would be an advantage
- Budget management expertise
- Contractual/Commercial awareness
- Excellent senior stakeholder management, supplier management and communication skills
- Process and Governance design and implementation expertise
- Vendor and customer management
