The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting the tendering and organic growth agenda of the Mission Systems Secure Communications business as well as contributing to the business forecasting.
Day-to-day, you'll be reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside Finance Business Partners, you will be responsible for providing key financial support to the Finance Manager and Head of Business, as well as working closely with the Operational team to improve processes and provide robust reporting to enable them to make necessary decisions:
- Building strong, supportive relationships with the cost centre managers and bidding teams, providing monthly reporting information with detailed variance analysis.
- Inputting towards the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and Overhead review packs, reviewing regularly with all key stakeholders, ensuring documentation is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Completing forecasting requirements on-time and to the highest standard.
- Constantly reviewing Projects to ensure profit maximisation and trading margins are accurate.
- Holding monthly reviews with the Operational team to provide details of performance and areas questioning / challenging where necessary.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Bristol, on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential Experience of the Finance Business Partner
- Demonstratable experience in a similar role.
- Experience with pricing and cost accounting.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - in particular, Excel modelling skills.
- Strong cross-functional networking and collaboration skills.
- Advanced numeric, analytical and technical skills.
Qualifications for the Finance Business Partner
- You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent / similar.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
