Serves as a Civil Engineer with expertise and experience in that general field. Is responsible for the preparation of designs and related work, for the preparation of construction and procurement specifications, and for the performance of staff activities as required. • Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, organizing, developing and execution of the design of data acquisition and control system related to hydroelectric projects, both existing and new.
• Perform or direct the performance of special technical studies and analysis of powerhouse specialized data acquisition and control system installations
• Use plant operations, marketing agency requirements, and system requirements to specify, administer contracts, and debug new and completed hardware and software installation as required to execute new functionality and life-cycle maintenance.
• Analyze and evaluate methods and techniques developed by others, make recommendations regarding their application and implement life-cycle modifications and new automation and cyber security technology.
• Serve as national agency expert on automated data acquisition and control systems primarily for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s hydropower facilities.

Functions as the institution authority on state of the art security equipment such as locks, locking devices and systems, closed circuit television systems, electric gates, and blue print and schematic analyzing.

Ensures the physical security of the facility as it relates to structural requirements, operations and total familiarization of the life safety codes for the institution environment.

Maintains the armory where weapons and ammunition are stored, handled, and prepared for transportation as needed.

Analyzes mechanical, electrical, locking systems, engineering blue prints, weapon repair and schematics.

Troubleshoots locks and locking devices, and makes necessary repairs using a variety of hand and power tools as they relate to carpentry, electricity, and masonry.

Reads, creates and analyzes manufacturers’ key codes and cuts keys for institutional use only.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis.

The Installations & Logistics organization is seeking Electrical Engineers with a focus or specialty in control and monitoring of electrical systems. Service: Regulatory Services - Environmental Health

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working for the Council’s Environmental Health team in a very challenging yet beautiful part of Scotland. Do you believe that everyone is entitled to live in a safe and adequate home/ If so, an excellent opportunity has arisen to work part-time, with the Councils Regulatory Services team to process and registration of private let accommodation and to regulate their standards.

We will provide you with a varied work load, flexible working and excellent conditions of service. You will be joining a Regulatory Services function which is committed to innovation, the use of mobile technology and of continuous improvement.

This is a permanent post, working 24 hours per week (Monday - Friday mornings)
