Salary: £29,605 - £36,024 p.a. (Grade 6)
Applications are invited for the above fixed term, full-time post working in the Public Health Collaborating Unit in the School of Health Sciences at Bangor University (Wrexham Technology Park, Wrexham). The Public Health Collaborating Unit is a public health/academic collaborative funded by Public Health Wales which provides a flexible and efficient resource for rapid assessment, evaluation and policy development support to serve Public Health Wales and the wider NHS.
The postholder will provide research support to two projects: 1) a review examining the relationship between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and healthcare engagement, and 2) a research study to understand trauma-informed training for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) practitioners.
Duties will include supporting study development and contributing to data management, data analysis, systematic literature review, and report and paper writing.
Candidates should have a degree with a research component in a health, public health or other scientific, psychological or sociological subject and have previous experience of working in applied public health research. Knowledge of public health, research methods and excellent written communication skills are essential. The successful applicant is expected to be proficient in undertaking scoping reviews, qualitative data collection methods and research related software.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible, and the post is available for a period of 7 months.
This role will be located on campus at Wrexham. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
