This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, Pacific Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Region, Office of Strategic Operations, Camarillo, CA.

At the full performance level (GS-14) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Serves as the lead Electrical Engineer for the Pacific OCS Region performing electrical engineering and operational analysis of complex oil and gas facilities and operations.
2. Conducts technical, regulatory, and safety reviews of oil and gas operators' submittals for electrical systems. Assesses submittals for adequacy and compliance with applicable regulations. Advises applicants of needed revisions and prepares comments and recommendations for review/approval by the supervisor.
3. Conducts engineering analysis and evaluation of OCS platform electrical systems including area classifications, generation, transmission, and distribution systems; switching procedures; operator policies and work practices; human factors, utilizing equipment design, sizing and installation; protective device coordination; fault analysis; power factor connection; and hazards involved, to determine compliance with regulations and incorporated industry recommended practices; and, to identify any improvements which can be implemented, and prepares detailed engineering reports of his/her analysis.
4. Reviews and analyzes inspection reports prepared by others to compile statistics and trends of electrical systems' inspection results to identify areas that may need closer study.
5. Provides electrical engineering expertise as a member of committees or task forces organized to draft proposed revisions to OCS regulations or to formulate policy to deal with operational problem areas.
6. Independently conducts electrical inspections on OCS platforms, including facilities with known safety and environmental problems or hazards.
7. 8. 9. Participates in investigations of accidents involving offshore facilities, including those of a major, unusual, or unprecedented nature, or where guidelines have little applicability and decisions are largely based on experienced judgment. This Master Transportation Security Officer- Security Training Instructor position is located at Sacramento International Airport (SMF), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Master Transportation Security Officer (MTSO), you will support the airport training program through performance of a variety of training-related functions. In addition to training program responsibilities, you will also perform pre-board security screening of persons, cargo, carry-on, and checked baggage as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD), or his/her designee, a minimum of 20% of the time. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Performing training instruction within established guidelines and standards in support of nationally developed training programs (e.g., new hire training, On-Screen Alarm Resolution Protocol, Crossover); supporting recurrent training needs, and conducting return to duty and remediation training.

This Supervisory Transportation Security Officer position is located at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO), you will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation and other transportation modes. You will also perform and supervise in your area of specialty, which may include Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology.
