The applicant selected to fill this position will serve as a Special Agent in the Investigations Division, Protective Services Bureau in any of its two Sections: Criminal Investigations Section or Threat Assessment Section. The primary responsibility of this position is the investigation of violations of the D.C. Code and Title 18, U.S. Code to include allegations of criminal activity, terroristic activity, and threats or unusual direction of interests against Members of Congress and other statutory protectees of Congress that occur in the jurisdiction of the USCP as defined by 2 USC § 1966(a) & (f).

Assignment to the Sections within the Investigations Division will be based on:

1) Needs of the Division
2) Placement on the ranked list based on all phases of the selection process
3) Applicant preference

An Investigations Division Special Agent, will:

Investigate criminal and terroristic activity involving violations of the D.C. Code and Title 18, U.S. Code;

Collect, evaluate, interpret, and disseminate information related to the mission of the Investigations Division;

Prepare and disseminate written reports including reports of investigation, various investigative assessments, and investigations bulletins;

Perform a full range of comprehensive investigative functions to include planning, organizing, fact-finding, and reporting results on cases ranging from routine to highly complex;

Perform protective intelligence operations, coordinating investigative and operational efforts with other USCP sworn employees and outside agency officials;

Serve as a liaison with local, state, and Federal law enforcement agencies;

Conduct surveillance, surveillance detection, and counter-surveillance operations; and

Represent the USCP during investigative and law enforcement meetings.

• Serve as Chief, Water Management Section within Walla Walla District
• Exercise technical and administrative supervision of staff consisting of engineers, scientists, technicians, and student interns, ranging in grade from GS-3 through GS-13.
• Provide support to the following types of projects: large multipurpose hydroelectric, navigation, and flood control dams, fish and wildlife facilities, recreation facilities, planning studies and other civil works projects.
• Lead all Water Management and Water Quality work for the District.
• Coordinate management and accountability for Water Management and Water Quality Programs with administrative and budget personnel.
• Recruit, select, and develop personnel; facilitate training and mentoring to provide a means for staff to maintain technical competency.
• Perform supervisory personnel management responsibilities; establish work schedules and priorities to ensure mission requirements are achieved.
• Provide technical and policy guidance for the accomplishment of Section assignments and ensure review of completed work for technical adequacy and accuracy, technical judgment, soundness, and compliance.
• Perform or resource District quality control reviews, independent technical reviews, and agency technical reviews of products in the Water Management and Water Quality area of expertise completed by the section, A/E firms and other Districts.
• Initiate and attend conferences, workgroups, and meetings regarding Water Management and Water Quality.

• You will work with the PAO, conducts the public affairs program for the enterprise with responsibility for developing and providing staff direction involving all public information, internal communications, congressional relations, VSO engagement, and community relations activities.
• You will represent the VAPSHCS Executive Director by participating at public, civic or social events to improve perception of the VAPSHCS as a valued part of the medical profession, government, and community.
• You will develop and ensure the continuation of outreach strategies and marketing campaign.
• You will conduct special studies involving communications, organization, and operation of Medical Center functions.
• You will develop reports along with recommendations to the VAPSHCS Executive Director and other members of the Executive Leadership Team including implementation and monitoring strategies.
• You will conduct studies often consist of controversial and critical observations, interpretations, and findings that are independently presented with the resultant recommendations.

• Executes decision-making authorities and establishes vision and direction for the Agency's cyber and cyber-related resources and/or operations.
• Bolsters cybersecurity by ensuring the Agency is increasing the safety and security of SBA services, and implementing the requirements contained in the Executive Order on Improving the Nation's Cybersecurity, as well as the Federal Zero Trust Strategy.
• Leads development, planning, coordination, administration, management, staffing and supervision of the information security and privacy operations related to SBA-wide IT security and privacy programs.
• Leads the effort to maximize the integration between FISMA reporting and certification and accreditation to ensure increased continuous monitoring and remediation of IT systems' threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assure information systems and associated facility provides a level of security that is commensurate with the risk and magnitude of the harm that could result from the loss, misuse, disclosure, or modification of the information contained in the system.
• Advance cybersecurity by overseeing and supporting Agency implementation of Zero Trust plans and execute the Executive Order on Improving the Nation's Cybersecurity.
• Facilitate information security risk assessment and risk management processes.
