Legal Cashier
Salary: £24k+ DOE
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Full Time, Permanent Role - 35 hours per week

The Key Duties of the Legal Cashier
- Processing financial transactions for both office and client accounts, inputting sales and purchase invoices, banking of cheques and allocating electronic receipts, processing payments via BACS,CHAPS and cheques,
- Identifying and processing client to office transfers, online banking;
- Maintain accurate and timely accounting records;
- Ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules;
- Reconciliation of bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis;
- Verifying and processing conveyancing completions;
- Liaising with colleagues and external suppliers/contacts to resolve queries;
- Routine administrative tasks;
- Any other duties that are deemed reasonable and appropriate by the Head of Finance.
The Key Requirements of the Legal Cashier
- Previous experience of working within a law firm accounts team required;
- Knowledge and experience of SRA Accounts Rules beneficial
- Experience of using a specialist accounting system (with experience of P4W/TFB an advantage);
- Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential and discreet manner.
- Strong commitment to providing a friendly and helpful service and positively contributing to the culture of the firm.
