This is a new role which has been created to provide targeted and expert support to their secretarial population, who would benefit from greater support around training, development and performance. There will also be an element of resource management across all teams and offices.


The Secretarial Manager will be responsible for line managing all Secretaries in London and Reading, with the exception of the Executive Assistant to the CEO and COO.

Responsibility for other administrative roles such as the Receptionist and Office Coordinator will not fall under the Secretarial Manager's remit. The Secretarial Manager will report to the Head of Administration.
Initially, the Secretarial Manager role will not be exclusive of secretarial responsibilities. As the role and firm grows, we expect secretarial responsibilities to decrease, but this will be a matter for discussion and agreement between the Secretarial Manager and Head of Administration.


The company headcount is currently 89 (expected to increase to 92 in September 2024), with 11 secretaries, 2 of whom are based in Reading. As this role will manage secretaries across both offices, travel to the Reading office will be required at least once a month. This may increase with time, depending on the size of the team in Reading.
The Secretarial Manager's main role includes, but is not limited to:

• Secretarial:
• Working for up to four fee earners on a daily basis with additional fee earners visiting on a regular basis on a mix of workplace law
• Monthly billing (producing and amending billing guides, transferring time as required, creating invoices and sending to accounts for adding to billing system)
• General typing - audio (limited) and copy typing (letters, emails, witness statements, attendance notes etc.)

You will play a significant role in reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality through the enforcement of parking restrictions.

Your day will be spent, mostly outside, in all weathers, walking up to 10 miles per day, so please consider this before you apply.

My client provides reactive security services such as alarm response, building unlocks/locks and security patrols to homes and businesses in Surrey and surrounding areas. I am currently partnering with them to recruit a Security Operations Assistant. This is an exciting new role which is designed for career progression within the company. The successful candidate will be a dedicated, passionate, capable and competent security supervisor/security team leader who meets the requirements of the candidate profile. The successful candidate will commence by training on all security patrol officer roles within the Company. Once trained the candidate will be primarily based in the management office Monday to Friday 0900 to 1800 and included within the on-call duty roster. • You do have experience with mobile security services, alarm response, security patrols, building unlocks/locks
• You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and ideally able to use MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
• Your quality of work and attention to detail must be of a high standard, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• You have strong interpersonal skills including leadership and inspirational qualities
• You must have a flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and willing to learn
• Ideally you are competent in the use of Windows PC, Ms Office including Outlook, Word and Excel Suite, iPads and Android/ iPhones

• Due to the nature of the business and a future requirement to respond as an on-call manager the ideal candidate would need to live within 40 minutes travelling time of TW20 and KT12. They have 2 offices but one of these will be the main one where you will be required to work from the majority of the time but open to work at the other office.
• This also relates to the need to respond to customer emergency call outs at short notice and out of hours.

Salary: £32,000-£34,500, Company pension, Free parking/On-site parking and 20 days holiday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Legal Secretary to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the team, undertaking typing and a range of other administrative tasks including scanning, copying and uploading documents to various portals. The ideal candidate must be motivated, have drive, ambition, and be pro-active with the ability to think on their feet.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Attending to clients and members of the public both on the telephone and in reception
• Dealing with existing and new client enquiries
• General administrative tasks, filing, photocopying, scanning, and organising files.
• Audio typing - typing letters and other legal documents
• Diary management for Fee Earners
• Using legal case management system
• Uploading documents on various portals
• Taking payments, handing cash, and issuing invoices
• Other miscellaneous office tasks

Essential competencies and skills:
• Fast and accurate Audio typing skills.
• IT literate – be experienced user of Microsoft office.
• Excellent client care skills
• Flexible, committed and have an ability to prioritise and organise work effectively
• Professional, punctual, confident and self-motivated
