Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
- Functions as a personnel security specialist in a process designed to efficiently control voluminous requests for security clearances for employees, consultants, detailees and assignees of the Office of the Secretary of Defense and those agencies administratively supported by it.
- Reviews and evaluates completed background investigations for correct scoping requirements.
- Recommends denials of clearances and develops written supporting rationales.
- Carefully complies with Division implementation of OUSD Policy requirements for Departmental maintenance of JCAVS.
