This Public Notice for Attorney Advisor (Direct Hire) position is located Direct Reports (DR), Chief Counsel Office (CCO), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provision of on-site legal support for TSA senior executives and management at the nation's Federalized airports on a wide range of issues such as civil and criminal enforcement, labor and employment law, civil rights, ethics, and the interpretation of statutes, regulations and executive branch orders pertaining to transportation, homeland and national security.
• Provides guidance to lower-level staff to address diverse, complex legal issues impacting the transportation industry. Works with managers to advise on the development of legal precedents and case strategies, including the preparation of the TSA view of salient factors impacting the case. Develops approaches to address current or anticipated problems and issues impacting the success of the TSA legal brief. Works with management to jointly solve problems. Provides policy guidance and legal interpretations to others, both internally and externally.
• Often serves as project manager or team leader by planning, coordinating, and developing legal briefs and approaches. Is responsible for developing, integrating, and implementing solutions to diverse, complex legal issues.
• Proposes preventive actions and methods for ensuring TSA policies and practices align with emerging legal interpretations and precedents impacting transportation industry security operations. May participate in the development of recommendations for new and innovative approaches to supplement broad policies and objectives that are only indirectly applicable to emerging transportation legal issues.
• Typically exercises direct responsibility for completing tasking's as part of the management of large, complex legal cases or projects. Identifies applicable precedents or legal theories for use in developing briefs and defending the TSA position.
• Provides advice and guidance to key management officials regarding legal issues and the impact of legal decisions or past/emerging precedents on TSA policies and operations.

As a General Engineer/ Physical Scientist (Nuclear Safety Specialist) you will:

• Lead safety planning, organization, and DOE/NNSA regulatory compliance review.
• Advocate and secure NNSA and M&O commitment to Safety Strategies.

• Conducting hydrologic studies to include investigations of surface water, ground water, debris and sediment, and storm events.
• Developing and maintaining an Enterprise Geographic Information System (eGIS) Program Management Plan defining the geospatial architecture.

OPPORTUNITY
The selected candidate for this position will be an integral member of the Counseling and College Persistence Team, leading the organization’s expansion of Dual Enrollment programs, College and Career Access Pathways, and Career Technical Education.

This is a Central Office position which will require travel between schools and the Central Office. The College & Career Access Pathways Coordinator works year-round and is a grant-funded position ending on June 30, 2026.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
> In collaboration with Senior Director of Counseling and College Persistence
> Assist with the development of sustainable and replicable dual-enrollment, college and career access pathways, and CTE programs that can be launched throughout the network

OPPORTUNITY
The selected candidate for this position will be an integral member of the Counseling and College Persistence Team, leading the organization’s work on a comprehensive support program utilizing persistence and retention best practices to create a system of structure and support for our alumni as they matriculate and persist at colleges and universities across the United States. They will create programs and curricula that support our alumni throughout their college and university journey and into their initial career calling. They will also play a pivotal role in supporting our new Black Student Success Program at a specific Green Dot High School cohort.

This is a Central Office position which will require travel between schools and the Central Office. The College and Career Success Coordinator works year-round and is a grant-funded position ending on October 15, 2026.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish relationships with college and university stakeholders in various areas, including but not limited to: student engagement, admissions, student support services, career services, counseling support, student activities, residential life, etc.
Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities for first-generation college students from low-income backgrounds and/or high needs populations
Maintain communication with alumni via various platform such as text, email, phone approx.
Utilize the Alumni Data Tracking system Google sheet to track support and outreach to monitor college persistence and increase post-secondary attainment among Green Dot graduates.
Support students with general college resource navigation as they transition from high school into college/workforce.
Act as a liaison to colleges (UC, CSU, HBCU, CC) and workforce resources and support students as they transition out of high school

The Litigation Support Team at Leidos currently supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Los Angeles, CA has an opening for a Senior Paralegal to work in a downtown Los Angeles, CA DOJ office performing Senior Paralegal duties. Responsibilities include:

- Knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. 

- Knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw. 

- Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.

The Litigation Support Team at Leidos currently supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Los Angeles, CA has an opening for a Document Management Analyst  II – Legal Assistant (Litigation Support) to work in a downtown Los Angeles, CA DOJ office providing litigation support as part of our criminal prosecution team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Department of Justice achieve their mission. 

Responsibilities include:

•Complete various aspects of recurring legal documents.

•Use general reference sources and legal research tools to gather information to assist attorneys and staff in performing legal research duties.

• Search internal plus external files for material used in a variety of recurring reports.

• Assemble file data or secures data from staff members into the proper format based on the purpose and nature of the report.

• Accurately input data for the case and matter statistical management system.

• Independently review resource documents and files to determine appropriate codes for the case management system and work hour input and reports.

• Research and review the documents by consulting with the attorneys.

• Produce a variety of written documents utilizing a range of automation software.

• Assist with receiving, evaluating and producing discovery in the Document Management area.

• Identify potential sources of information that may be beneficial for the government's position in the case.

• Assist in organizing and processing information for efficient retrieval through automated means such as scanning, indexing, and organizing documents in a database.

Required Qualifications: 

- Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience on major litigation support projects.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.

- Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems. 

- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Instruction/Direct Services:
> Provide support in all academic, behavior, transition areas and effectively instruct students in a small group setting (i.e., academic success class) and/or the general education classroom in collaboration with the general education teacher
> Provide instruction and services for those pupils whose needs have been identified in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and/or who are assigned to receive support in the Mild to Moderate Special Day Program (SDP)
> Work as part of interdisciplinary team and within content areas plans accommodations/modifications necessary to provide access to students with disabilities to the core curriculum and/or alternative curriculum and behavior support plans
> Co-teach general education classes to increase service delivery for special education students in the general education classroom
> Provide consultation services as follows but not limited to: (1) utilization of evaluation data for the accommodation and modification of instruction and curriculum (2); identification and assessment of behavior patterns in pupils (3) application of effective classroom management techniques; (4) identification of resources appropriate to individuals with exceptional needs to staff members, parents, and parents/guardians
> Collaborate with parents, administrators, testing specialists, school psychologist, social workers, and professionals to develop and monitor individual educational plans designed to promote students' educational, physical, and social development
> Provide direct support to student success teams (SST) and 504 teams by developing intervention plans for at-risk-students
> Provide workshops and professional development for staff in special education procedures/guidelines, accommodation/modification techniques and methodologies on how to serve students with exceptional needs in the general education setting
> Provide paraprofessionals with training in special education guidelines and implementation of students’ IEPs. Monitor paraprofessionals by developing system of accountability to ensure service delivery adhering to special education program requirements
> Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students' needs and progress. Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems

Coordination of IEPs/Services:
> Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare IEPs for students on caseload, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations
> Participate as a member of the IEP team in decisions regarding placement and in the development of an individualized education program for students with disabilities. Analyzes data when revising IEPs to provide accurate present level of performance
> Coordinate: referrals and assessment procedures, IEP team meetings, the implementation of special education services provided to students with exceptional needs, collection of relevant information for those students referred to the IEP team, organization and distribution of special education media and materials for resources in general education classrooms

The Legal Assistant l will work under the direction of a Supervisory Legal Assistant and is assigned between one to five Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSA). The types of litigation support required under this contract generally include:

• Examining, preparing and processing a variety of technical legal documents, e.g., complaints, motions, orders, answers, pleadings, and subpoenas.

• Providing assistance to attorneys in trial preparations.

• Assembling trial exhibits, affidavits, discovery in various formats, and other legal documents.

• Tracking filing, hearing, and trial dates, and scheduling conferences and interviews.
