Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Branch Chief and Security Cooperation Program Manager within the Security Cooperation Division, providing expert advice in the analysis, planning, development, implementation and review of U.S. Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources in support of HQ USCENTCOM operations and DoD Policies. Serve as the Command's subject matter expert and lead directorate advisor for SA/SC programs and efforts within the Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate, USCENTCOM J5. Individual will collect, coordinate, evaluate, analyze and interpret SA/SC program information for countries within the USCENTCOM Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and Interest (AOI).

Duties:

• Manages the integration of Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources for the USCENTCOM AOR.
• Leads or participates in conferences or in task groups to development or refine concepts, plans or activities for matters related to Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources.
• Assists with the development of budgets for SA/SC programs, resources and activities.
• Interprets and implements local and higher echelon policies and regulations.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.

As a POLICE OFFICER, GS-0083-08, you will perform combat Arms Training. Present repetitive courses or designated blocks of longer courses and presents training material and instruction covering proper use of handguns, rifles, machine guns and other base defense/ground combat skills equipment, in accordance with approved lesson plans and course control documents. Instruction may take place in outdoor or indoor training facilities and will require multiple police/combat agility skill demonstrations. Instructor makes adjustments in presentation or other instructional methods to resolve common classroom problems, to include those of student motivation and communication, as well as, last minute agenda schedule or student
changes, student problems, equipment malfunctions, or lack of supplies. Use training aids and devices in addition to those listed in the POI in a manner that enhances training outcome. You will manage and oversee the installation ground weapons training and maintenance program; serve as an instructor and inspects ground weapons. Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the installation's ground weapons training and maintenance program, incorporating safety requirements, and maintains adherence to safety regulations. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

Physical Demands:
Works on different terrain surfaces, in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries tools, parts, materials, weapons, and equipment that may weigh up to 50 pounds. May occasionally handle items that weigh up to 75 pounds. Specialized material handling equipment is available for heavier items.

Work Environment:
Work will require standing on feet for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds and low/high crawling up to 25 meters. Work may take place in a variety of weather conditions Work efforts include running short distances and move over, around, and through obstacles to heights of 10 feet. Walking is required (i.e., 1000 meters) and may occur in extreme temperatures over rough terrain. The work is sometimes dirty, dusty, and greasy. Incumbent is frequently exposed to the possibility of noisy conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment (e.g. ear plugs, eye protection, and gloves).

Identifies dangerous areas and takes corrective action on ski slopes and areas around Hillberg Lodge.

Skis all slopes and reports on snow conditions. Instructs developing volunteer ski patrol or others in objectives and techniques used for ski patrol operations. Recommends action according to condition of slopes. Responds to accidents or other traumatic incidents, attends the injured, ascertains nature of injuries and extends appropriate first aid procedures, or assists with procedures already in progress. Escorts, evacuates, or assists with evacuation of patients to ambulance, field station, or hospital by most expeditious mode of transportation.Continues first aid procedures in transit, as necessary, until relieved by other competent personnel. Extends first aid training to other personnel and/or instruct in the techniques for managing injuries. Will document all injuries and accidents on proper accident report forms. Observe the lift stations to make sure that they are operating under ski area policies regarding safety. Operates chair lift, t-bar, and rope tows as needed. Observes weather to determine current and short range wind chill factors, ascertain if within range to permit safe skiing. Keeps manager informed of marginal or dangerous conditions on a continuing basis. Enforces customer violator penalties under current procedures and protocols.

Responsible for implementing and overseeing 354 FSS content/social media program strategy. Under the direct supervision of the Supervisory Marketing Director, within guidelines, develops FSS strategy and implements tactical plans including building traffic, inciting engagement and growing community social media involvement and tracking and reporting metrics. Under the direction of the Community Services Flight Chief and Deputy Flight Chief, is the Flight focal point for Material Management (Motor Equipment and Facilities).

Serve as Flight level Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) processing and submitting all required documents and data to the Squadron VCO in a timely manner. Oversees vehicle training and licensing for Community Services personnel. Reviews vehicle utilization records for compliance with mileage equalization policies. Maintains a government purchase card for the purpose of purchasing vehicle parts and supplies.

Serve as an alternate facility manager. Process work orders through the 773 CES. Evaluate, plan, and execute facility maintenance repairs. Determines and selects the most appropriate course of action to accomplish each phase of the work in the most productive and cost-effective manner. Ensure that required materials are on hand or obtained prior to initiating work. Work cohesively with the onsite facility providing guidance and technical knowledge when necessary to complete detailed tasks. Assists with property accountability and annual inventories.
