Salary Information: The salary range for Fort Myers, FL (RSW - Southwest Florida International) is $41,316 to $55,231 or $19.80 to $26.46 per hour and includes locality pay of 16.82%.

This Transportation Security Officer position is located in Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSOs) within Security Operations (SO), you will provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Operating various screening equipment and technology to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.
• Performing searches and screening, which may include physical interaction with passengers (e.g., pat-downs, search of property, etc.), conducting bag searches and lifting/carrying bags, bins, and property weighing up to 50lbs.
• Controlling terminal entry and exit points.
• Interacting with the public, giving directions and responding to inquiries.

Provide end-user support for all users and systems within the organization and serve as the organization's first line of help to resolve IT and computer systems related issues. This Expert Transportation Security Officer - Security Training Instructor position is located at Orlando International Airport (MCO), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Expert Transportation Security Officer (ETSO), you will support the airport training program through performance of a variety of training related functions. In addition to program responsibilities, as an ETSO you will perform pre-board security screening of persons, cargo, carry-on, and checked baggage as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD) or his/her designee a minimum of 20% of the time. Specific program responsibilities include the following:

• Acting as training course lead in support of Training Programs including ensuring class materials are coordinated and in place, confirming roster, ensuring evaluations are done and submitted, conducting testing, and recording of results, and ensuring all employee course completion information is recorded in the Online Learning Center (OLC).
• Performing training instruction within established guidelines and standards in support of nationally developed training courses (e.g., new hire training, On-Screen Alarm Resolution Protocol, Crossover).
• Supporting recurrent training needs; conducting return to duty and remediation training.
• Developing and/or adapting local training materials to meet requirements.
