As the Civil Engineer in this position, you will:

• Conduct engineering analysis by performing and coordinating technical planning activities, data collection that includes validation and management, modeling and data analysis, analysis of site location and conditions, risk estimation and analysis, and analysis of instrumentation data.
• Provide oversight of on-site construction work, including inspection and acceptance of work performed by a contractor.
• Review designs for constructability, drafts specifications, determines and evaluates construction sequencing, researches and prepares cost estimates.
• Design drainage structures, evaluates hydraulic capacities.
• Use application of applied mechanics, including the distribution of loads, stresses from static and dynamic loads, and strength of materials and structural dynamics.

• You will provide technical consultation involving interpretation of facilities plans and specifications, analyzing and defining the scope of planned development programs.
• You will determine the suitability and acceptability of substitute facilities when limitations of time or funding are imposed.
• You will provide sound engineering advice and program guidance on complex facilities problems and to impartially analyze and evaluate proposals and ideas submitted.

As a Litigation Coordinator your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Serves as the Service's liaison between the Solicitors' Office and the Ecological Service's program and provides technical expertise on policy and resource implications associated with litigation involving the ESA or other natural resource statutes.
• Develops litigation positions in coordination with the Office of the Solicitor, the regional office, and field offices in responds to litigation or notices of intent to sue.
• Monitors litigation progress and outcomes, and assesses policy implications and resource impacts due to litigation.
• Leads the development of administrative records in response to litigation.
• Guides offices and biologists in developing procedures to facilitate records management that complies with applicable regulations and policies.

• Participate in general planning activities for infrastructure, water and power supply, environmental compliance, and other needs in a changing climate across the Upper Colorado Basin Region's service areas, including for Reclamation's reserved and transferred water systems.
• Serve as a Project Manager for engineering and climate-change planning investigations as needed, and provides technical support to planning investigations and environmental compliance and science and technology activities throughout the Upper Colorado Basin Region.
• Serve as a technical representative on engineering and science related contracts and grants, and on application review committees.
• Serve as a liaison for the Region for private, local, state, Tribal and federal entities on issues related to engineering and science, and projects being funded or performed by Reclamation.

This position will be located in the Midwest Region which encompasses the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, or Wisconsin. Salary will be based upon duty station and locality pay once selected. The salary above reflects the Rest of US (RUS) pay scale. Locality tables may be found at: 2024 Pay Tables. As a Public Affairs Specialist your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Support the Region's efforts to create an accessible and inclusive information and communication technology environment for all audiences in accordance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act to include providing training and/or advising others on Section 508 requirements.
• Develop and execute communication plans by considering such items as specific topics or aspects to emphasize, the most effective media to use in communicating with intended audiences, and the kind of information various groups want or need.
• Create and manage content across various digital platforms to effectively convey information concerning complex and controversial mission-critical programs and functions.
• Author and produce a wide variety of media advisories, news releases, official statements and other related materials concerning assigned program areas.

They are to maintain the highest standard of guest service and satisfaction. The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for emergency the team spirit and motivation all staff. They must also be fair and just in any staff disciplinary action required. The Engineering Supervisor is also expected to be a “hands on” supervisor. By this, we expect that they be prepared to lend “hands on” assistance if a hotel area becomes very busy. It must be emphasizes that this “hands on” assistance must be approached with the “hotel as a whole” in mind and must not be detrimental to the efficient operations of other areas.
• As a representative of senior management, Engineering Supervisor will be called upon to deal with guest problems or complaint related to the maintenance of the rooms.
