As a Supervisory Investigator you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Plans, directs, operates, and controls an investigative area of responsibility that includes security actions, supervisory inquiries, or special investigations.

• Requirements and develops and maintains information architectures and C4 plan based on agile project management.

This Program Analyst position is located Charlotte/Douglas International Airport (CLT), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the Federal Security Director (FSD) and the Deputy Federal Security Director (DFSD) at the airport.
• Supporting the mission of this organization by evaluating program operations and recommending solutions to management that will enhance overall program effectivenessand delivery.
• Analyzing program effectiveness and results, and developing recommendations to improve program delivery.
• Preparing reports to management describing program performance and recommending changes to program procedures, systems and processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Developing strategic plans, interpreting policy issues, and coordinating security issues and work with other departments or divisions.

The Legal Administrative Specialist (LAS) serves as a member of the Public Contact Team, located in the Veterans Service Center. The incumbent provides in-depth information and comprehensive assistance to veterans their dependents and beneficiaries concerning any matter within the scope of VA benefits and related non-VA benefits. Specific duties include:

1. Counsels Veterans, their dependents, and their beneficiaries regarding all benefits available through the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as non-VA benefits available through other agencies.
2. Explains the types of documents necessary to facility timely processing of claims and aids in obtaining and completing such document and forms as required by the type of claim being submitted or services requested.
3. Serves as facility Point of Contact (POC) and advocate for veterans and their beneficiaries in their dealings with other VA elements and organizations that may affect their claims.
4. Explains decisions made by the VA and communicates the reasons to the claimant for these decisions, orally and in writing.
5. Advises on the right of appeals and assists claimants in making appeals.
6. Develops a network relationship with the state and private Veteran's organizations to broaden the scope of outreach and increase the community awareness of the role VA plays in being a resource to the community.
7. Provides community outreach counseling and in-home counseling to those who are geographically isolated or physically unable to go to a VA facility due to physical or mental incapacity.
8. Participates in large scale outreach activities (claims clinics, tribal events, etc.), to support claims intake and benefits counseling.
9. Analyzes inquiries, research issues involved, consults with other federal, state, and local agencies as necessary and prepares written replies or furnishes replies by telephone or other medium to congressional or White House staff members.

The duties of the Senior Police Officer include, but are not limited to:

• Conducts investigations, apprehensions and detentions of individuals suspected or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws of the United States.
• Protects individuals during any given situation against threats to personal safety when enforcing laws and regulations.
• Responds immediately to and engages potentially armed individuals during active threat response situations.

• Detects and intervenes in criminal activity.
• Enforces traffic rules and regulations, including those related to speeding and reckless operation of vehicles while impaired or intoxicated.
• Conducts investigative contacts/stops, exercising search and arrest authority, detaining witnesses, and apprehending suspects.
• Advises individuals of their rights (such as Miranda, Weingarten, Garrity, etc.), and protecting the constitutional and civil rights of persons.
• Intervenes, when necessary, to deescalate situations and determine when and how much force must be applied.
• Conducts prisoner transports to holding facilities and courts as required.
• Executes disaster response and recovery procedures.
• Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) to injured personnel and coordinates additional emergency response when needed.
• Coordinates and directs search, rescue, and recovery for persons at high risk (e.g., missing or wandering patients, minors, etc.), including coordinating with local surrounding police departments to expand the search parameters.
• Investigates incidents and takes steps to mitigate further risk and resolve situations.
• Performs and provides training on drug and contraband intervention where contraband identification and knowledge is imperative.
• Intervenes, when needed, to deescalate active suicidal behavior and/or prevents suicides.
• Prepares case files and testifying in court as it pertains to enforcing laws and regulations.
• Protects the civil rights of all individuals on VA controlled property;
• Prevents, detect and investigate crimes;
• Patrols assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle;
• Subdues persons causing disturbance or who threaten harm to themselves or others;
• Follows rules/procedures concerning search and seizure of evidence and contraband;

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay Rates: 18 to 20 £9.97, 21+ £11.44 per hour

This Supervisory Transportation Security Officer position is located at Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO), you will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation and other transportation modes. You will also perform and supervise in your area of specialty, which may include Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology. In addition, you will make independent, security-based decisions using intelligence, critical thinking, experience, observation, and passenger engagement. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting and supervising subordinate employees in conducting pre-board security screening of persons, their carry-on and checked baggage/cargo.
• Overseeing screening checkpoint(s) and/or baggage screening operations on a day-to-day basis to include equipment, personnel, and the scheduling and rotation of personnel.
• Participating in the development of new policies and procedures, and recommending changes in policy and procedures based on observation of work, as required.
• Participating in the development of strategic planning initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning initiatives, and other reports and documents for TSA and superiors.
• Engaging in continuous development of critical thinking skills necessary to mitigate security threats by identifying, evaluating, and applying appropriate situational options and approaches.

This Lead Transportation Security Officer position is located at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO), you will be responsible for leading at least three full-performance level Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and, as assigned, trainee and apprentice level TSOs. As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level. You will make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing input to supervisors and managers concerning a variety of human resources matters including, but not limited to, employee performance, promotions, reassignments, awards, etc.
• Implementing security screening procedures in accordance with TSA objectives and directives.
• Assisting with investigations of incidents, and preparing incident reports or other documents that convey required information.
• Responding to breaches of security and emergency situations.
• Training team members, monitoring and reporting on the status and progress of work, and representing the team in communications with the supervisor or manager for the purpose of obtaining resources (e.g., computer hardware and software, etc.).
