This highly-regarded international law firm are looking to recruit an experienced environmental lawyer with the core skills, quality and versatility to work on a variety of advisory, contentious and transactional work across the full spectrum of environmental and sustainability issues.

As part of the role, you can expect to advise on the full range of environmental legal issues including advisory, contentious and transactional projects. You will also manage complex cases and work with clients across a broad range of sectors. As a senior lawyer, you will play a crucial role in guiding and developing junior team members, providing ample opportunities for you to assume additional responsibilities and advance your career.

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 7 years environmental PQE gained at an appropriate level
• Proven experience of building and maintaining client relationships;
• Experience in supporting and developing junior team members;

As Senior Litigation Director, you would become a member of the Senior Leadership Team within the CMA’s Legal Service, reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel. Your role will encompass a diverse array of challenging and pivotal activities, including defending the CMA’s decisions on appeal, obtaining warrants to support our investigations and obtaining director disqualification orders. The volume and profile of the litigation we undertake has increased substantially in recent years and is expected to grow further in light of the expansion of our case work following EU Exit and the addition of new CMA functions.

You will be an accomplished senior litigator with outstanding experience in litigation casework, including recent experience of competition law, public law and/or consumer protection law, and a proven track record for strategic thinking. You should possess a deep comprehension of the policy dynamics and prospects confronting the CMA, along with extensive experience in cultivating, empowering, and inspiring professional teams to achieve exceptional outcomes. I am working with a large, global law firm where they are looking for a Finance Director to join their team for a 12-month FTC. You will look after a specific division in the law firm as well as report into the CFO with dotted lines to the Managing Partner.


The Finance Director will have responsibility for the delivery of best practice financial management through:

• Strategic and operational planning
• Project management
• Communications/ business partnering
• Budgeting & financial reporting
• Partner with the Managing Partner, Partners and Directors (HR, Business Development, Operations) to develop, implement and review the global strategy and budget
• Regularly report on the comparison of the budget, results achieved and whether performance measures are being met
• Assist the Managing Partner to communicate results within the division and to the broader firm
• Identify business trends and advocate proactive responses, including supporting business cases for partner candidates, utilisation to match forecast needs
