The South Worcestershire ICT Shared Service provide ICT services and support to Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council, and Wychavon District Council. The ICT team support approx. 800 users across the three councils providing a range of support, transformation and development of ICT services. A key part of the work the team provide is preventing and responding to cyber incidents. We are therefore looking for a strong Cyber Security Manager to work as part of our large ICT team to maintain and develop the Councils cyber security and lead a small team of Cyber Security Engineers.
About you
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure that the ICT systems in use across the South Worcestershire councils are as secure as possible.
- Keep up to date with cyber security threats and ensure that appropriate mitigations are in place to counter these.
- Develop their own and the team’s cyber security skills.
- Recommend and implement appropriate cyber security technology solutions to meet the requirements of the councils.
