Your role
As our Security & Safety Manager you work alongside and deputise for our Security Director to ensure the safety and security of all guest, personnel and property. Working as part of a larger security team you will demonstrate a flexible and adaptive hands-on approach in order to lead, guide and continuously train a team of Duty Security Officers & our Nightlife Security Officers to ensure that all of our front and back of house areas across the hotel and our venues are safeguarded against fire, theft or other safety hazards.
You respond with a sense of urgency to any and all emergency situations in a calm and professional manor. Your team will undertake a range of security patrols around the premises and be required to deal with various safety incidents involving guests, contractors or staff and act as liaisons with local law-enforcement, food safety and fire department agencies. Our nightlife security team provide door coverage across our 6 venues, including our bars and restaurants, rootop and late night club lounge, so experience of managing a busy late night venue is a must.
A key element of your role is Health & Safety, so you will need to be well versed in all relevant fire, liscening and Health & safety legislation. You will be passionate about delivering a quality Security service with a meticulous eye for detail, maintaining your team's standards through coaching and training in order to achieve the highest levels of service and presentation.

Do you have what it takes to be a Security & Safety Manager at The Standard
Prior experience with a minimum of 2 years prior experience as a Security Manager & Supervisor is essential for this role; in addition to this you will have however an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests and team members.
Candidates should also demonstrate
* A proven track record within a security and safety role with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle' or boutique hotel or large entertainment/nightlife venue
* Nightlife Experience with ability to manage and coordinate large numbers of people in the event of a complex emergency situations
* Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.
* Excellent organisational and administrative abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written.
