• Identifies and analyzes key issues, develops strategies, and advises Commander and senior leadership on recommended courses of action on a broad variety of topics related to MAJCOM, NAF, FOA or DRU functions. Uses quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques, knowledge of management processes and techniques to improve support systems and assigned programs.
• Serves as Project Officer for Commander directed initiatives and special interest items. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments as requested.
• Coordinates review of higher level taskings, identifies best course of action, potential problems, and recommends MAJCOM, NAF, FOA or DRU response. Performs high-level integration of analytical and time sensitive staff activities.

This position will serve as a Senior Police Officer at the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend VA Medical Center in McAllen, Texas (McAllen VA Clinic). The Police Officer will perform a full range of police duties by following and executing rules, regulations, or procedures covering law and rules enforcement, physical and personal security operations, patrol duties, control desk duty, coordination with local courts, and/or crime prevention activities for the local jurisdiction.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Protects the civil rights of all individuals on VA controlled property;
• Prevents, detect and investigate crimes;
• Patrols assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle;
• Subdues persons causing disturbance or who threaten harm to themselves or others;
• Follows rules/procedures concerning search and seizure of evidence and contraband;
• Takes charge of significant and catastrophic events;
• Conducts investigations, apprehensions, and detention;
• Obtains search and arrest warrants;
• Arrests violators;
• Uses independent judgment in cases where policy is not clear;
• Provides basic first aid and CPR prior to arrival of emergency medical personnel;
• Prepares report of activities and events that occurred during shift;
• Performs traffic control; and
• Assists citizens in emergency situations;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Serves as the executive advisor on programs and initiavtives within the organization.
• Plans and organizes executive support services, functions, and activities.
• Manages unit's human capital/resource requirements and administers the civilian employee performance program.
• Advises PRSC Commander on decisions, which have a direct effect upon the cost, operation, organization, manpower, facilities, and use of resources of the PRSC.

Key Role:

Provide civil engineering expertise in support of an operational level war-fighting headquarters in the development of operational support force capabilities to enable agile operations employment for military clients. Provide coordination, monitoring, and consultation of engineering-specific theater requirements with other command theater units, adjunct services, and other agencies for the allocation, synchronization, and de-confliction of logistics resources. Support the development of Courses of Action, Concepts of Support, Plans of Action and Milestones, and integrated master schedules.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a Staff level, division, Joint Headquarters Air Force, Major Command, Marines, or Air Component Headquarters

• Experience with implementing the engineer components of budgeting, scheduling, coordination, tracking, and requirement specifications for construction efforts

• Ability to combine mission expertise with a technical mindset to help solve clients’ priority challenges, including coordinating experimentation of new technologies

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience working cross-functionally using teamwork and collaboration across departments and commands

• Experience with agile combat operations and concepts, including Agile Combat Employment (ACE) initiative, site survey, infrastructure improvement, and prepositioning concepts across the AOR
