What will I do in this position if hired?

In this Public Affairs Specialist position, you will serve as a Regional lead on all active disaster, and disaster closeout, external affairs initiatives. Independently prepares current disaster response and recovery information and news data for dissemination to internal and external stakeholders.

Typical assignments include:

• Providing Regional connection and consistent communication to deployed External Affairs (EA) personnel including External Affairs Officers (EXAO) and Joint Information Center (JIC) throughout response and recovery operations and as the work progresses through disaster closeout.
• Providing EA subject matter expertise for Region 1 federally declared disasters.
• Developing and delivering consistent messages focused on news media, elected officials, incident personnel, and other agencies and organizations for release.
• Monitoring incoming media inquiries and ensure that they are responded to in a timely manner.
• Developing opportunities to increase the understanding of FEMA programs and disaster operations through media outreach and relationship development.
• Overseeing and coordinating closeout activities of ESF-15 External Affairs disaster-related documents and products for all Region 1 disasters.

CORE employees are full-time employees hired to directly support the response and recovery efforts related to disasters. Employees are hired under the Robert T. They can be hired under a streamlined process instead of a competitive process. Responsibilities:

• Foster and develop a robust security culture to meet MoD, Government, and Company standards across the business.

• Establish and maintain security procedures and ensure their effectiveness through timely audits.

• Design, maintain, and amend security policies in response to changes in company infrastructure or changes to Security Legislation or Standards.

• Oversee all security accreditations, compliances, and activities, including the roles of Group Security Controller, Personnel Security Controller and Facility Security Clearance coordinator.

• Manage the control, processing, storage, muster, and destruction of protectively marked material.

• Manage CCTV, IDS, PID and access control systems, ensuring appropriate maintenance programmes are in place.

• Manage defence contract obligations, including Security Aspects Letters (SAL), policy management, security reporting, and audits.

• As Crypto Custodian safeguard crypto information held on charge by Crypto Holders.

• Work with IT and IT Systems Managers to ensure compliance and security procedures for IT systems used in the company.

• Support HR with security vetting for new staff and provide security briefings.

• Manage service contracts for facilities security services and equipment.

• Work with stakeholders to anticipate and resolve security issues, ensuring program and project delivery.

• Promote security awareness and training to ensure employee engagement of security requirements throughout the business.

• Plan and execute security measures for buildings, facilities, projects, and programs, providing NPSA compliant solutions.

• Maintain relationships with external commercial and government security advisors.

• Report security metrics as required by the Senior leadership team and/or contract.

• Liaise with the business stakeholders to ensure the company maintains its Security compliance accreditations as required.

Tasks:

• Manage, develop and grow the Security team as per the organization structure and ensure via this role, effective management of the overall Security and support services team.

• Ensure staff have a clear understanding of priorities within the service and understand how their performance, development and contributions relate to the Functions aims and objectives.

• Ensure effective management of team absence, overtime and annual leave.

• Analyse the efficiency and productivity of the security and support staff, implementing innovative and flexible working arrangements whilst monitoring the service levels.

• Maintain Security SLAs, Company Security manual etc.

• Work alongside others to pro-actively forge positive and influential relationships with the Police, CTSA, MOD, NPSA, DE&S and other security agencies as required.

• Analyse the reports of Security activities and produce monthly statistics of crimes and incidents by category or site for submission to Senior Management. Ensure that any pattern of crime is addressed pro-actively as soon as identified.

• Stay informed on legislative changes, technological advances, and best practices.

You will work on a varied, rolling rota carrying out effective patrols of on and street parking areas within Cambridge to ensure compliance with parking restrictions.
