- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, and enhancement of Information Systems Security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Act as primary point of contact for selected areas (automation and information) of security for the Network Enterprise Center - Fort Cavazos.
- Develop, interpret, evaluate, and implement IA policies and procedures and establishes an operational framework for security programs for the installation to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
- Prepare and conduct risk and vulnerability assessments for IT system accreditation.
- Perform security inspections, as required (e.g., automation, physical, and operational) and prepares reports which include findings and recommendations for correction of deficiencies.
- Serve as the point of contact for all aspects of Information Assurance, e.g., personnel, physical, communications, hardware, software, and procedural.
