- Develop and implement local policies and procedures in line with NSA and Department of Defense (DoD) directives, ensuring victim access to medical, mental health, and counseling services.
- Provide 24/7 availability for victim advocacy services, ensuring coordination with medical, legal, and law enforcement personnel. Guide and support assigned Victim Advocates (VAs) for cohesive program accountability.
- Ensure the prompt handling of reports, maintaining oversight throughout the process while ensuring confidentiality.
- Oversee Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) to meet victims' needs and compliance with organizational standards.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention, emotional support, and safety planning for victims, guiding them through medical, investigative, and legal processes.
- Lead the development of training programs for SARCs, VAs, and other stakeholders. Coordinate outreach activities, including awareness programs during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM).
-Ensure accurate and confidential data entry into the Defense Sexual Assault Incident Database (DSAID) and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic goals for the SAPR program, ensuring effective integration with installation objectives. Evaluate program effectiveness, recommending improvements for continued growth and success.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with goals
- Serve as a representative for the SAPR program in high-level engagements, advising leadership on policy implementation and programmatic objectives.
- Employee will be required to travel for TDYs or conferences relevant to sexual assault.
- This position requires a high degree of discretion in relation to sensitive information of which the incumbent is aware.
- Able to serve in an "on call" duty status outside of normal work hours that includes remaining ready to perform work, manning enterprise cellphone, and remaining in a reasonable call back radius, staffing the 24/7 support helpline, as needed; regularly checking emails to respond to crises; and/or reporting to a designated place of duty to perform work.
- Employee may also be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
