Job title: Sainsbury's Distribution Security Officer

Location: Sainsburys Shire Park

Pay rate: £10.90

Hours: Full time

56 hours - 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off days and nights with possible overtime

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for Distribution security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe working environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for all colleagues, contractors, and visitors at Sainsbury's depots.

You must hold a current SIA licence or valid SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.

SIA licence is favourable but not essential as SIA training can be provided

Main duties:

· To deliver industry leading customer service

· To conduct patrols of the depot

· To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors

· Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the depot

· Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss

· Liaise with the depot management teams

· To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices

· To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager

· To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime

· Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed

· Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (RDC ONLY)

· Must have reasonable level of PC skills
