Defense Critical Technology Assessment Manufacturing Engineer
Key Role:
Perform critical technology and manufacturing capability assessments that identify U.S. Government and Defense needs and determine industry capacity to meet those needs in the coming years. Develop technology and business analyses that guide strategic decisions regarding Defense investment into manufacturing capacity and capability. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical and engineering or science expertise to document the technology potential and identify risks. Leverage defense industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems to help deliver capability and resilience to meet the needs of the DoD in the years to come.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with engineering in Defense Critical Technology sectors, including Kinetic Capabilities such as Hypersonics, Munitions, and Directed Energy, Energy Storage and Batteries, Castings and Forgings, Microelectronics, Critical Chemicals and Minerals, Unmanned Aerial Systems, Rare Earth Elements, Critical Materials, or Space Technologies
- Experience performing technical and business assessments of critical technology manufacturing or production capability development and their potential benefits, costs, technology barriers, policy, and regulatory approval requirements
- Experience with Defense or the U.S. Government in one or more critical technology sectors
- Experience developing and presenting briefings and assessment reports to senior DoD stakeholders
- Knowledge of what industry providers are meeting Defense or U.S. Government critical technology sector needs today and what industry members could meet those needs in the future
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working for Senior DoD officials
- Experience providing technology analysis to DoD programs making investments in DIB capability expansion
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
