Job Description
Fistok Computers is seeking a permanent, full-time Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network and systems infrastructure essential to our operations. As part of Fistok’s mission to promote sustainability within the tech sector, you will play a critical role in optimising systems to support our IT recycling and refurbishment processes while ensuring network security, efficiency, and scalability.
Key responsibilities
Network design and implementation: Plan, develop and implement computer network systems to support both internal operations and customer-facing services, ensuring alignment with Fistok’s sustainability goals.
Systems maintenance: Regularly monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure seamless performance, implementing upgrades and improvements to enhance system reliability.
Troubleshooting and support: Provide technical support for network and systems issues, diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks or faults in a timely manner.
System optimisation: Design and implement system enhancements that increase operational efficiency, supporting our commitment to repurposing and refurbishing electronic devices.
Documentation and reporting: Prepare and maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and procedural manuals to streamline ongoing support and system upgrades.
Sustainable IT practices: Contribute to Fistok’s mission by integrating eco-friendly practices into network solutions, such as energy-efficiency systems and hardware recycling protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field + minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role; OR
Diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field + 4 years of experience in a similar role
5+ years of highly relevant experience may substitute for a formal qualification
