Software Architect
The Opportunity:
In this role, you’ll design architectural roadmaps for systems, in accordance with enterprise strategies and processes, while analyzing client requirements and leveraging the open-source community to deploy systems on infrastructure as a service provider. You will also manage complex technology implementations, with an eye toward constant reengineering and refactoring to ensure the simplest and most elegant system possible to address the desired need. You will be able to share knowledge across a multi-disciplinary team and work within agile methodologies. Additionally, in this role you will be a full partner in the determination of vision, objectives, and success criteria, and apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. You’ll develop innovative solutions to complex problems, decompose business and system architecture to support clean-interface multi-team development, develop product roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable success criteria and write user stories, and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:
- 10+ years of experience designing and developing solutions in a functional or technical area, and architecting overall systems using prototyping and proof of concepts
- Experience planning, managing, and providing technical oversight for software architecture activities
- Experience comprehending customer’s business requirements and translating them into cost-effective software strategies, frameworks, and architectures
- Experience building integrated viewpoints to evolve a technical domain, including software development, digital experience, data, analytics, AI, infrastructure, computers, networking, or cybersecurity
- Experience with IT architectural analysis, evaluation, documentation, modeling design, development, model validation, and integration
- Experience integrating workstreams to achieve results across Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, DevSecOps, and security and privacy
- Experience working in CSP environments, including AWS, and hybrid cloud environments
- Ability to address complex software architecture challenges, including the evaluation of technologies, architectural patterns, architectural modeling, architectural views, component specification, and design principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience building reference architectures
- Experience developing project and integration roadmaps or plans, and translating client requirements into a conceptual or solutions model and validating models
- Experience with strategic alignment of technical design and architecture to meet business growth and direction, and stay on top of emerging technologies
- Experience developing presentations and briefings for executives to address inquiries and topics of interest to clients
- Knowledge of architecture at varying levels, including enterprise, segment, security, and solution architectures
- Ability to clearly communicate and work with stakeholders at all levels
- Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Master’s degree in IT
- CSP Solution Architect Certification, including AWS Solution Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
