Summary
The selected candidate will be assigned to the electrical group to implement the electrical engineering designs associated with the electrical systems. Task assignments may transcend several projects/programs simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Works closely with other engineering disciplines in the development of production quality, efficiency, or volume.
- Support higher level engineers in the design of electrical systems
- Generates technical documentation describing designs.
- Teamwork, involving close association with peers, and management is essential to coordinating engineering activities in an efficient and cost effective manner.
- May perform other engineering and non-engineering duties as required by supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BSEE or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Must have a sound understand of basic electrical circuitry.
- Familiarity/experience with design of Simulation wiring is helpful but not mandatory.
- Competencies: Time Management, Project Management, Teamwork, Good Interpersonal Skills,
- Available for overtime and travel.
- Able to develop, test, modify, implement and evaluate electrical engineering designs, procedures, processes and techniques.
- Able to communicate effectively with department personnel, project management and customers to resolve problems.
- Able to prepare written and verbal reports for internal and customer reviews.
- Detail oriented.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to solve technical and other business issues in a logical fashion

Preferred Skills
- Ability to design in CADD applications such as MicroStation, AutoCad
- Familiar with NFPA 70: National Electrical Code, Mil Specifications & Standards / ANSI
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
- Work is performed in an environment where irritants such as noise from telephones, temperature, and lighting variations may exist, but there is little chance of injury, accident, or occupational health problems.
Ex: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

- May be required to sit down for long lengths of time.
- May be required to climb stairs.
- Ability to travel extensively worldwide.
- Must be able to work overtime and on off-shifts as required.
