About the RoleAs our Network Supervisor, you will support our operations, maintenance & investment departments to ensure detailed policy & procedures in line with industry standards.
You will Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to communicate project status, address concerns,and to ensure that E&I deliverables meet expectations. Alongside this you will identify and assess potential risks associated with E&I duties, and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact, as well as conducting audits in line with company procedures.
We are continuously looking at ways to improve and so analysing project performance will play a key part of this role. You will conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices in planning and execution for future projects so that we ensure that we continue to keep and customers safe and well.

What you'll get to work on:
- Team Coordination: Supervise and lead a team of E&I Technicians and Apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure effective workload execution
- Resource Allocation: Oversee and coordinate the allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment required for E&I tasks, optimising resource utilisation
- Project Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed schedules for electrical and instrumentation (E&I) workload, ensuring alignment with project timelines, milestones, and deadlines
- Commercial: Proficient in the understanding and analysing PowerBI reports to encourage best practice and maximise efficiencies
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor the progress of E&I activities, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to keep deadlines on track
- Accountability: Responsible for creating and updating ongoing 6/12-month models for future inhouse projects and workload profiling of the committed works
- Cost Control: Collaborate with the asset investment team to monitor project budgets, ensuring that E&I work is completed within the allocated financial resources
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all E&I activities comply with company standards, client specifications, and relevant codes and regulations
- People Management: Responsible for maintaining a high level of staff morale and motivation, ensuring that sickness and absenteeism is minimised, and low-level disciplinary procedures are followed for direct reports in compliance with company HR policy
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to communicate project status, address concerns, and ensure that E&I deliverables meet expectations
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with E&I duties and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact, as well as conducting audits in line with company procedures
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of project plans, schedules, and changes, and provide regular reports to management and stakeholders
Who are we looking for:
You’ll possess the following qualifications, skills and experience (not all are essential):
- Broad knowledge of Gas Distribution’s Core Processes
- Understanding of risk management principles and tools
- Holds EUSR Gas Safety Passport and IOSH or recognised training or qualifications on Health, Safety & Environment
- Understanding of Process Safety Principals
- Sound knowledge of Network Operations and SCO requirements
- Knowledge of engineering standards
- An understanding of work dispatch systems and understanding of planning/resource management
- Communication skills, verbal and written and coaching and influencing skills
