We are seeking an experienced Technical Bid Writer to join our team at Trilateral Research within the United Kingdom.
As part of our SocioTech team, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating, writing, and submitting compelling bid proposals for AI, consulting and research projects. The scope of topics will be varied. Your work will help us secure key contracts across both public and private sectors, demonstrating how our solutions deliver ethical, high-impact results.

Key responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Lead the entire bid lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification to final submission and post-bid follow-up.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, commercial, research, legal) to design projects and gather relevant inputs and shape strong, competitive bids that are of high-quality, and are winning proposals that align with client needs and our ethical AI mission.
Write and edit high-quality technical content for bids, translating complex data science and AI concepts into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
Create technical diagrams, flowcharts, and documentation that clearly articulate solution designs and implementation strategies.
Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and submissions are of the highest standard.
Ensure compliance with public sector tender requirements, maintaining an understanding of regulatory frameworks and procurement processes.
Continuously refine and improve the bid process, develop an efficient bid library, and implement lessons learned and drive efficiencies in how we approach tender submissions.
Ensure the company is part of relevant frameworks and platforms (e.g., G-Cloud).
Monitor market trends and competitor activity, keeping the team informed of new opportunities and emerging requirements in the AI space.
Requirements
Required education and experience
Essential:
A minimum of 2 years’ professional bid writing experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field to support responsibilities.
Desirable:
Master’s degree in a related field to support experience and role requirements.
Experience in ethical AI or responsible innovation, especially as applied to public sector projects.
Professional knowledge and technical skills
Essential:
Familiarity with public sector procurement and tendering processes, including experience with frameworks such as G-Cloud, Digital Marketplace.
Proven experience in successful bid management, proposal writing, within the AI space.
Experience in agile software development methodologies.
Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
Good understanding of AI, machine learning, and data science technologies, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Comfortable working with new topics that may not necessarily be your area of expertise.
Exceptional writing and proof-reading skills with strong attention to detail.
Awareness of GDPR and other data protection standards, especially for projects involving data.
Desirable:
Experience with technical software, e.g., Python, SQL.
Experience manipulating large data sets (structured and unstructured data)
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Interpersonal skills
Essential:
Ability to lead and manage multiple bids simultaneously, with excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable:
Ability to adjust and pivot quickly in response to changing client requirements or bid priorities.

Location: This position is open to candidates based in the United Kingdom.
Contract type: 12-months fixed term contract.
Start date: Approx. January 2025.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Hours: Full-time.
