The Assistant Medical Center Director exercises line authority for multiple administrative and allied health services and sections and is directly responsible for facility operations. Duties include, but not limited to the following:

Major Duties:

This position provides oversight for a variety of software programs integral to the overall administration, equipment packages, and operations of medical service. Collects physical and data security needs for the service areas. It also is the point of contact for OI&T for information technology initiative for hardware and software needs for the service.

Controls critical applications, (i.e. Clinical Procedures (CP), Home Oxygen, Oncology/OncoTrax, and Clinical Case Registries). Reviews all software upgrades for medical service programs within VISTA. Provides training and troubleshooting for clinical and administrative staff regarding use of these programs and any upgrades.

Responsible for the coordination and training for service staff in clinical and functional areas for various information technology VISTA packages, e.g.; Consult Tracking; PCE (Patient Care Encounter and Visit Tracking); ACRP (Ambulatory Care Reporting); TIU (Text Integration Utilities); and additional VISTA programs as added.

Test, debug and maintain software applications that meet functional requirements.

Train employees, identify inconsistencies, discussions with management of capabilities of computer software feasibly toward meeting their objectives, validating new programs and options.

The Case Manager helps the offender view problems objectively and to deal with them realistically. Routinely deals with community resources to secure information and develop release plans. Prepare special progress reports for such consideration as parole, transfer, restoration of forfeited good time, and makes appropriate recommendations. Corresponds with attorneys, judges, probation and parole officers and other professionals regarding the inmate's case.

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this Telecommunications Specialist (Mobile Communications Office Vehicle Operator) - Reservist position, you will be a member of the Disaster Emergency Communication Cadre and will be responsible for the operation, set-up, and support of Mobile Communications Operations Vehicles (MCOV), including movement planning, motor vehicle maintenance and operation, communications equipment set-up and maintenance, and IT and Administrative support and training of Site Personnel. Typical assignments include:

• Operating an MCOV in accordance with Federal and State regulations. The MCOV fleet includes Class A recreational vehicles and Class 1 Emergency Vehicle chassis;
• Conducting a chassis pre-trip inspection and routine vehicle operating maintenance, including identifying engine and drive-train issues, checking the oil, checking the tires, and climbing on top of the MCOV for satellite antenna troubleshooting;
• Establishing satellite connectivity, local area networks, and entire office communications with limited support; including configuring radios, radio repeaters, telephones, computers, wired and wireless local area networks, and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) satellite network communications;
• Maintaining MCOV operational capabilities and providing IT and logistical training and field support on-site at a disaster, by evaluating performance of communications systems, performing corrective maintenance checks and services for vehicle and generator, and considering cost/benefit factors;
• Providing information through verbal briefings and well-organized daily/weekly reports and logbooks, using Microsoft Office Suite programs, to report to both leadership and the public at mission sites.
